I was going to put this to the Kitties group but I thought I would put this before the congregation (sorry it's the minister in me).
I have a cat approximately 14-15 years old (I'm really not sure). Her appetite is fine. She has a good coat and appears healthy. She's loud and her claws work fine (I have marks on my arms to prove it). Her peeing and pooping habits are normal...except for...
It's not a question of if, or when, it's become an issue of WHERE. She refuses to use the 3 litter boxes at her disposal, instead choosing her place of business my late mother's curio cabinet where she spends most of her time. And not in any blank space. Right in the middle of anything that's on the cabinet.
I don't know what to do. As I said, she appears completely healthy, so for the sake of this discussion, having her put down is NOT an option. That may happen eventually, but not now.
Any input will be appreciated.

Also, have you tried putting a litterbox in the curio cabinet? Perhaps she has developed an aversion to the litter?
