This blog may be the first true indicator that I may actually have run out of things to say. It takes the form of the famous hypothetical dinner party.

If you were hosting a dinner party, which 5 people (real or fictional) would you invite and why?

You are only limited by your imagination. Any extra detail (party games, will there be an after dinner orgy etc) are welcome.

And as long as I'm here, is anyone reading the Steig Larsson books that are so popular. I'm curious.

I anxiously await the myriad of responses I'm sure to receive.

Sincerely, I remain
Seacrest (and Pyotr) outsmile

My 5 people would be

1: Robin Williams.. got to have someone funny
2: Harry Potter... for the magic of course
3. Angelina Jolie.. I love her and I would like to feed her and get her to gain weight
4. The Snuggles bear cause he looks cuddly and soft
5. Alan Rickman.. cause I love him

Ooh... this is tough. I'm assuming dead people are okay.
Ford Prefect for entertainment; my grandmother for the conversation; Albert Einstein, I would like to apologize to him; Buddha, because I have a few questions, Michael Buble or Marvin Gaye - to sing to me.
There would be pre-dinner entertainment and snacks, a full course meal, and post-dinner drinking at a night club. No sex. No funny business. Just laughs and good conversation.

oh man, there are so many different parties and with each different party would be a different set of people.
I'll just say tea party for now:
Ellen Degeneres: asks good questions, really funny, may give me free stuff
Lady Gaga: loves tea (laced with whiskey) is super smart and a great conversationalist.
Dumbledore: is crazy, wise, and can make the tea and any food we want.
My best friend, Mysi: She'd have to experience this with me.
Joe Biden: I think he's adorable, and I love his potty mouth.

my game, my rules...henceforth groups who may have been mentioned collectively can be considered as one person. I'm going to answer my own question.

1. The Bronte Sisters- a bit of culture for the proceedings...all other guests would be provided with hand sanitizer.
2. Frank Sinatra-still the poster boy for cool, even after all these years
3. Frank Zappa-to add a bit of irreverence and be able to be a fly on the wall when he's talking to Sinatra
4. Dennis Hopper- to thank him
5. Nelson Mandela- to thank him and to add a bit of high culture to the proceedings

Thanks! smile

Wow. Dinner party of 5. That is an exceptionally tough call on who those 5 people would be. Too many variables!

What would you choose to cook for your own dinner party??

~cheers

ooh! that's a hard question, for me it'd be:
Elliott Smith - i'd give him a hug and tell him his music saved my life & thank you!
Alistar (from dragon age) - yes he's a videogame character but he's still the sweetest 'boyfriend' i've ever romanced -- lol
Bilbo Baggins - he could tell us all stories and is a lover of good food, plus I've always wanted to meet a hobbit!
Fry from Futurama - need I say more?
and finally I'd have to say my big sister, because I'd probably die of an anxiety attack with all my heroes eating my food and would need the help and support of biggie smile
