I don't blog a lot on this site, but I thought I'd share a event in my life that seems to offer insights into current events. I've been licensed Concealed Carry in Texas since 1996 and for 16 years I'd thankfully never had any reason to draw my weapon before October of 2012. The old saying goes, "you never need a handgun, until you need it desperately," and I can now attest that is true. Now on this particular day I was at my shop just like any other day when I heard a woman screaming. Looking out my front window I saw a large black man beating the shit out of a skinny black woman. Hindsight being 20/20, I could have called 911 and even though we have a really good Police force in my home town, realistically they weren't going to make it to my place in time to save this woman. I can't say I even considered that option, I just reacted. Pulling my 9mm, I stepped out the front door, raised my pistol and shouted at the black guy to "BACK THE FUCK OFF" and no shit, those were my exact words. He looked up, saw a big, burly, bikerish looking dude pointing a vicious looking 9mm at him, and it was over. He quickly beat a hasty retreat leaving the black woman sprawled on my parking lot in a bloody heap. I helped her up, took her back to my shop and called the Police. Now to be sure, the woman was a crack hoe and the guy beating her was her pimp. When the Police arrived, she didn't want to press charges and she refused medical assistance. Consequently, one might wonder why I had even bothered going into harms way to help her? Well like I said, I didn't really give it a lot of thought in the moment, I just reacted. The point being, given the recent tragic events at Sandy Hook, many liberal politicians and members of the dominate liberal media culture have been villainizing law abiding gun owners as if the Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms makes us some kind of criminal, when nothing could be further from the truth!! According to FBI statics, every year in this country law abiding citizen use their legally purchased guns to stop over two million crimes, and those are just the crimes that get reported. Realistically, the actual number is probably much higher. I actually own a number of guns, including two "Assault Rifles," which I legally purchased AFTER the Clinton Assault Rifle ban went into effect back in the 90's. Point being, there are millions upon millions of Assault Weapons and hundreds of millions of high capacity clips floating around this country, so the idea that banning them will eliminate them is just ridiculous!! If you look at cities like Washington DC, Chicago, or Los Angles that have the most restrictive gun laws in the country, they also have the highest violent crime rates, and that's no coincidence!! By their very nature, criminals don't obey the law, so when you restrict gun ownership, all you're doing is making law abiding citizen helpless victims. That's what that poor, skinny crack hoe was in my parking lot last October, a helpless victim. Fortunately for her, in her moment of greatest need, there was a law abiding citizen that refuses to be a victim!!

Having a cute face and a body that sucks to the pigs is not nice. I'm still working on it.
