Well 16 inches of rain in a week left me with 3 inches of water in my basement yesterday. I am still trying to get it all cleaned up. This totally sucks. But on the good side I did not lose much of value other than a computer power supply for my work laptop.

Anyway the clean up continues and we should be finished sometime...

In honor of my 42nd birthday, I have decided to recreate on Earth that intragalactic favorite, the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. As you know this is the famous drink from The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. However since the required ingredients are somewhat scarce on Earth, I had to improvise.

Into a cocktail shaker... filled with ice add
1 shot of vodka
1 shot of...

that sounds terrible, but I'd try it smile
stoothman:
Actually I was surprised when I tried it. It is not half bad. I also went and grab some premixed Long Island Ice Tea mix from the store and used that, since that is what I based it on. And it was pretty good as well.

Ok, kids, time for another recipe. This is one I make from time to time so I can have a good breakfast all week.

I have lots of stuff going on, mostly bad, but I am not ready to post about it at the moment.

So in lieu of that here is another recipe.

Steve's Chili

1 lb ground meat (ground beef, breakfast sausage, or course ground chili meat)
1 40 oz can of chili beans (Ms Grimes is the brand I use)

that jammer comment is funny because I have been thinking about it, and you are SOO right, jammers get ALL the glory! I just always preferred to block because there is so much more to it, as a blocker you have to be defense AND offense sometimes at the same time, also I seem to direct the game play, and start each strategy ..whereas jammers just race and go through the pack without much thought. plus we have an abundance of jammers right now, all 20 years old (except for our best one Killson) and to try to compete with them for a spot seems like it would suck hahaha

In honor of Cinco De Mayo, the real story behind the holiday.

Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England.

In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York.

This would...

But to make it up to you all I am going to share this recipe I made last night. It is incredibly yummy and possibly the best desert I have ever had.

Seems to me there are a lot of people in Mississippi, that need a new hobby. Apparently, they are to stupid to serve on a district school board.

There are days when I can not help but think that the end of western civilization is a lot closer than we think.

I bet this left a nasty nick in a sensitive area.

I do so hate traveling. It always reminds me of what is wrong with this country.

mizoo:
Aw....traveling generally makes me feel really good about this country. Also, makes me feel better about Alabama, because there are ignorant and mis/under-educated people everywhere as it turns out.
stoothman:
Actually Mizoo, much less about the people and more about our culture. Flying always seem to expose the worst things about our country, like the paranoia and fear that the very presence that TSA (Terminally Stupid Agency) creates. The anything to squeeze consumers a little more attitudes of the airlines. It all makes for an unpleasant time flying. But I always have a good time once I get there. It is just the there and back again part that drives me up a wall.
