There are few things that annoy me more than someone who is no longer in the military treating people who never were in the military, like they are all actively in the military.
Some guy in our class was a marine, and he refuses to let that shit go. Barking order at fellow students, bringing every discussion that everyone has back to something about his timme in the marines.
We get it dude, but if you so desperately still want to be in the marines, than you never should have gotten out. And the way you treat your fellow students, the guys who are paying the same tuition as you to attend the same class as you... yeah, some of them are loud and boisterous, but guess what? These are their college years, They're 19, 20, 21 some of them... so yeah, they're here to learn, and also to have fun.
So I got into it with him today. As he was barking orders I answered with "Sir, Yes Sir!" I couldn't help it, I was just fed up. He responded by trying to talk me down for having been in the national guard. I replied with the fact that as a medic in the national guard during my 2 tours overseas it was my job to clean up after all the "Oo-Rah" types, so maybe his monkey-wrenching ass should watch his mouth. And I went about my business.
Later in the class as we're doing review for the test tomorrow, I answered the instructor's question and he chimed in with "ooh, national guard knows something." I told him that whether he noticed it or not, none of us are in the military anymore and it's time to let that shit go. He said he'd have a "pow-wow" with me after class, which I brushed off because my time out of class is mine. So instead he went to the school board to report all of the people he doesn't care for in the class. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. Should be a blast. I'm a 4.0 student. There have been no complaints against me. One of my buddies in the class is on the student councel. And I'm a disabled veteran. Go ahead, complain all you want. What's the worst that could happen?
I just had to vent. What an obnoxious day. Tonight will be some much needed karaoke.

This time around, I was going to do the Insanity/P90X combo to whip myself into gear. I want to do pregnancy yoga so I'm at least doing something but I think I'll just end up walking and maybe some light hiking once the weather cools off. I only want to gain 30lbs this pregnancy.
