Its been too long! Much has happend in my increasingly busier life. School is great still! Im learning so much and its a little overwhelming at times, but i am going to make the best esthetician EVER! Me and my boyfriend have reconciled a lot of our problems and we are going to give things another shot, take things slow. I am happy about that....

So this has to be quick but i jsut wanted to say that i am 2 days into my esthetics career and i am loving it to death! I am already learning so much and it is a nice distraction from the internal affairs going on in my head. But all is well, and i hope it continues to be!

Gosh its crazy how much life can change, one minute your flying, the next you crashed into a glass wall and are tumbling to the ground. That pretty much sums me up right now. I feel so utterly lost with who i have known myself to be for the last three and a half years of my relationship. A relationship that has now seen its...

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about life and the situations that i am in. It seems that for the last few years i have been being pulled in two completely different directions, and have yet to make a decision. In my head it is all so complicated because i have invested so much emotion into certain things in my life, but...

This is the story of the birdies, from my point of view.
Daily I sit on the porch, and watch the birdies fly in and out of the trees, pecking on the ground and going about their merry way. The past few weeks have been great to watch their little lives ,but now i am left wanting. The nest that is 5 feet away from...

Your blog is so true! This year alone I have had a house martins above the door, a thrush nesting in a bush, the sparrows in the eves on the house (they are still constantly going backwards and forwards feeding their young) and a robin who chose to make the most delightful nest deep inside some plant pots sat in a wheel barrow in my wild patch that I deliberately leave untouched. The mother robin sat on the nest so patiently and the male would go backwards and forwards feeding her, then one day when I was tending to the vegetable plot which is next to the wheelbarrow, I carefully looked in to the plant pots and all of a sudden 3 big yellow beaks flew open ready for food, presumably had heard the sound of the grass being trodden on and thought it was their mom or dad returning with food. Anyway, the parents carried on going backwards and forwards and then one day the nest was empty and I too whilst thrilled they had all flown away happily, was sad that I had not witnessed them take their first flight. (I think it may have been one of robins that, in the winter when I was sat outside having a cigarette just flew down to my feet and sat there looking at me, I went and got some bread crumbs, went back out and dropped them on the ground and the robin flew down, nervously, but pecked at the crumbs so close that I felt quite emotional.

I have been fortunate in that a few years a go, a group of sparrow fledglings were all sat on the old tree and it was such a great sight watching them flutter around then land very heavily and awkwardly on the tree again and then their parents would appear and feed them and then fly from the tree to the fence and start chirruping to the young encouraging them to follow suit.

We also have a blackbird who most years has some youngsters who amazingly she casually walks through the garden with her young, right past our feet and then feeds them, its like she knows we wont harm them.

I'm sure you'll have more birds soon, busy collecting twigs, leaves, feathers etc to make another nest, our housemartins come back to the same nest every year x

I love birds! I just know that there is so much symbolism and meaning in why they chose to build the nest right next to me... There has to be some significance behind it. You have had some amazing experiences!
