It's my day off and as usual i have no idea what to do with it.
i'm always talking about what a wonderful place california is, but when the weather's perfect i barely do anything about it (i won't go outside unless it's at least 85 degrees)...
I'm not a very social person, unless you count disc golfing with strangers, so i'm hard pressed to find something to do by myself that i couldn't do in my bedroom. The two friends i do have, Marles and Edward, have both moved beyond reach- to Napa and L.A. respectively. Not that we spent every day together... but there were options.
I have 1 friend left, my brothers best friend before he moved, and we're supposed to hang out today. Not saying he doesn't have friends, he definitely has more friends than I do (at this point if he has 1 more friend than I do, then he has twice as many) but he's surely as socially challenged.
It seems like the perfect match- two people who have no idea how to hang out with other people, who regardless would never be satisfied with the activities our acquaintances apply to 'quality time'. somehow 'kicking it' by means of sitting in a half circle, stoned and watching reruns of robot chicken just doesn't appeal... anywho, seems like a perfect match, untill we get together and have no idea what we're actually supposed to do.
My problem is that i spend 90% of my day alone, and like any hermit devoid of human interaction I've grown used to my solitude and long hours dedicated to what I'M interested in doing. His is that it's difficult to hold a conversation regarding anything other than video games, metal, or pot. 3 things I can enjoy on my own when I want them.
3 o'clock is rollin' around.... I told him I'd call before I picked him up...
wish me luck
