Little update,

Still on the M/V Hammerhead, I'll be getting off the ship ideally the morning of the 23rd.

Tentatively my plans will be to drive straight up to Denton spend that weekend and the next up there with Vic and others and then spend Monday

Vic is in town, spending time with his mother tonight before his mother's wedding tomorrow... He'll be coming down to the boat after the reception and we'll spend the evening out on the boat in the Bay.

Sunday we'll come in, to pick up passengers... possibly... depending on the weather.

Then a week filled with chores, paying bills, and most importantly Vic.

Got a call from a company I first started trying to work for two years ago. All I need to do is pass a physical and drug screen on March 24th, attend a new hire indocrination the 25th, and attend helicopter evacuation training on the 26th, and I'll be working again.

Still looking for work, no real new leads, but tons of resume's out.

Looking at adopting a dog... here are the two primary candidates.

The only way I will be able to choose is by meeting them.

I'm meeting Ace tomorrow with his Foster owner. He looks like the best choice just because our personalities seem more closely matched.... and I'm more partial to German Shepards and mixes containing that. He's a more intelligent and dominant dog, he's less passive it seems than Dusty and will keep me on my toes more.

But I'll hold off till I meet Dusty, because there really is something in her eyes.

Weekend is here, some leads, but nothing followed though yet for work.

I'm looking into being a Deck Foreman for Remote operations vehicles.... basically those submersible robots that do underwater construction work beyond the limits of human tolerance.

I'd basically be the guy supervising the deck work putting it into the water and taking it out. I'm thinking something like 25 an hour. Or a better option has presented itself... not sure how likely it is, but I don't want to spoil it before it's germinated.

So I'm looking for a new job now that my company finally got the balls to tell me they needed to lay me off.

Unemployment is filed... but roughly a gran a month isn't going to help.

Looks like I might have to ship out with the Seafarers Union.
