So seeing as how my fellow coworkers are all over facebook and whatnot, I figured I'd let off a little steam here.
So I'm a pharmacy technician, you know fill the prescriptions, call doctors, call insurance companies, blah blah blah. All of that is fine and dandy, but the worst possible thing about the job are the people you have to deal with because they always feel like they are above you and you work for them.
I'm at work last night at around 8:15 or so and this guy walks up to the pharmacy. I ask him "May I help you?" like we are supposed to and he tells me he's picking up. I ask him the last name and he replies "Jones". Now you can imagine how common the last name Jones is, so I ask him his first name. He replies is a very shitty tone, "George". I turn to go grab his medication and come back and he gives me this weird look. I know he's about to say something fucked up so I just wait for it. He looks at my name tag and then looks back at me and says, "You don't know who I am Robert? You've rung me out plenty of times and you don't remember me. All of the girls back here remember me......maybe it's a good thing all of the girls do and the guy doesn't." He continues to mutter stuff and I ask him politely, "What did you say?" and he replies with "oh nothing".
The entire time I'm thinking to myself, who the fuck does this guy think he is? We are not friends, we are not on a first name basis. Don't you ever try and use my first name as a way to make me feel guilty for not remembering who you are. Then to tell me that all the girls back here know who he is and I don't. I work nights usually 5-9 and weekends so there are tons of people that I do not see at all or on a regular basis enough to remember who they are. So I look up his profile and check to see when he picks everything up usually, and sure enough it's 9 times out of 10 on...

Then there's another incident with a lady I've already had a run in with in the past. So first time around she brought in two prescriptions for her baby, one an ointment and the other a suspension for thresh. I type everything up and say we have one that we can fill but the other we would have to order and that we also have to call the doctor to clarify directions on one of them. She says do any other stores have both in stock, I check and tell her that there is a nearby store and ask her if she wants us to transfer them to there. She says yes and goes off on her way. 15 minutes later she comes back and says are the prescriptions ready. I tell her no because she wanted us to transfer them and she just goes off saying I never told you to do that and blah blah blah. Then she starts asking about what could be given over the counter for thresh. It's not my place to answer that so the pharmacist I'm working with comes over and starts talking to her about it. I say I'm going to call the doctor on the one medication and I walk away. 15 minutes later my manager is in the pharmacy saying that she is on the phone bitching that I walked away from her while she was asking a question. Again, not the situation at all, never happened that way, but that's what she was claiming. Not sure what ever happened with it, but she has never liked me ever since.
So apparently a month ago I rang her out for a prescription and the cap on the bottle was upside down. It's still safe, there's nothing wrong with it, nothing will fall out, etc etc. She tells me it was upside down and that she knew it would be safe but she just wanted to let me know. I have absolutely no response for that because it's just totally unnecessary. You just flip the cap back over and be done with it. It's not a life or death situation or anything because prior to easy open caps, that was the way we filled prescriptions for the elderly who couldn't twist open the bottles. Anyways, last week my manager again tells me someone complained about me. She says it was someone who told me that the cap was upside down and I was very nonchalant and didn't care. Again it just doesn't make sense why you feel the need to try and get me into trouble because of an upside down cap. It's a petty thing to bring up because you have a grudge against me for something I never did. Let alone bringing it up a month later just doesn't make sense at all.
