I ask this assuming a "yes" answer-

Anyone out there a vegetarian? I was for about a month, back when I had time on my hands and no stressful girlfriends. I am in the same boat again and want to try it for "real" this time.

Lucky for me, Tofurkey rules.

I am no vegitarian, but even *I* know that Tofurkey rules!

Also, I'm pretty sure that being a sucessful vegetarian means eating edamame all the fucking time.

So are you going full-tilt or the baco-vegetarian route? wink

I'm a vegetarian, it makes you feel so much cooler than everybody else.

Honestly, I'm not trying to sound like an asshole, it's sweet.

You should make a comic about how vegan robots can't eat oil or gasoline because it used to be dinosaur... the original white meat.

p.s I give you 100% permission to use that in a comic.

Vegetarians are the future.

Eating less cows = less cows are bred (economic reasons etc). Less cows being bred = more room in fields. Reclaim the countryside! Vegetarians make the world a safer place (for those who are scared of cows).

However, I am fairly sure that "baco-vegetarian" is not a valid format.

I'm a vegetarian, I don't find I try at it or anything. I guess because I'm used to it. I eat a lot of good restaurant tofu and my mom makes it for me from time to time. If you don't know how to prepare it though, don't expect it to taste good if you decided to fry it up.

Veggie restaurants are usually high in the delicious factor. My carniverous little sis loves it when I bring her out to one. That's where I get ideas for meals anyway.

If you're not aiming for veganism, then I suggest eating a lot of cheese. And nuts. Mm, pistachios.

Trader Joe's = nut paradise for vegetarians. My boyfriend and I have both been veg at various points in our lives, and now, we'd probably be baco-vegetarians if we did it again. Bacon is just too yummy, as much as I love pigs.

The other thing to know about tofu is: marinate, marinate, marinate. Press out as much water with towels/paper towels as you can, then soak it in whatever yumminess you have in the fridge (orange juice + black pepper is good!) for as long as you can before baking or frying it. Helpful tofu tip! ARRR!!!
