Hard to keep up with blogs when you're away from home for 12 hours a day. I'm off in a few to the last day of training for the week, then I get to have a little fun this weekend smile Crap... I gotta go. Real short blog entry
mydogfarted:
Yay for end of training. Hope that means no more trips to Long Island.

The new job training is in HICKSVILL Long Island. Seriously? I came from Nebraska, I'm trying to leave all things "Hick" behind. In all honesty it's rather amusing smile

What isn't amusing is the Long Island Expressway. Day one of the job started at 11, so I had a leisurely ride to work with minimal traffic. Today, work started at 9:45 so I pretty much was...

Oh, really? Yah, it was great. I have a ton of photos, like 70 of them...but I didn't want to bore anyone. lol
I am 20 minutes from the City, so I go as often as possible. I love it. smile

Glad I could be of help!

IKEA happened. Twice now. Yes I've gone to two different IKEA stores in the last two days. My wife came on the second round and we picked up shelves and storage items, and I'm beyond thrilled to see the junk and clutter of our Bathroom disappear.

Ok, yes I know this seems insignificant, and it is kind of a boring blog.
BUT....
1. I'm working...

Elizabeth and Paramus.

Paramus makes my throat itchy.

And yea, I think they're meant to be souvenirs. I don't know why they're on the window.

Short post since I'm typing from my phone. I quit my job recently, it wasn't working out to say the least. I'm finishing out the week, and have one more appointment tomorrow morning. Then just a matter of returning company equipment and filing paperwork.
Start the new job next Monday, anxious to get going on it. I'm hoping it goes well, and that it still...

Congrats on getting a new one so fast!

I know, I know, I ran a marathon so I can afford to eat as many slices of cakes as I want, but my body just isn't used to that kind of food. But I did hella enjoy it!!!! biggrinbiggrin

Yeah, you need to get down to Little Italy and Chinatown and taste the good food!!!! biggrin It can be pricy, but you could get a decent meal for not too, too much, just do some homework beforehand. smile

Yes, you need to come to one or both NYC group outings!!! Everyone is so cool and fun! We have a good time! Would love to have a newbie! biggrin

Congrats on the new job!!! biggrin I need to get out of my current job, it's slowly killing me and taking my sanity. It's just so hard in my field to get a new and different position. I keep searching and submitting my resume for jobs, but no success! frownfrownwhatever:confused I'm hoping something comes quick!!

Thanks!
One thing you and your wife may want to try now that you are here in NY either this year or next is Santacon.
It can be a lot of fun. It is bar crawl with everyone dressed up for the holidays.
We have enjoyed it in the past.
However, admittedly we aren't going this year for 2 reasons: 1. With the economy the way it is people see to drink cause they are angry instead of drinking to have fun (a convo we have had with a couple of bartenders) and 2. cause with OWS and such we are afraid of protests and arrests happening. We could be totally wrong, but we aren't going to go this year. Probably we will go again next year.

Hiking, sightseeing, eating turkey, drinking copious amounts of wine have all occured this weekend. Will upload photos on my comp and upload them with stories. Happy Holiday weekend everyone!
adrastea:
I play you in Wordfeud right? So you totally forgot to add that on here. Happy Holidays to you too.
roxtay:
True! I've had more going on than I thought smile word feud helped me survive all the hours on the road this weekend, of which there have been many.

Job interview today! I'm pretty sure I'm already a lock, as I've talked to the recruiting manager for the company and she's very excited after talking to me, and wants me to call her as soon as I'm done. That and I always do well in job interviews. I should probably practice up a bit though, I hate the dreaded "What is your biggest weakness"...

Awesome! Good luck! I hope you get it! I, on the other hand, don't do well in interviews. I get too nervous. whateverconfused
roxtay:
It was kinda mixed. The questions were all over the place, but I was able to keep afloat and connect well with the interviewer, we talked for over an hour. Downside: I got stuck in traffic behind a stalled car and was twenty minutes late.

Chaos. The last year and a half.

My wife broke her knee pretty much completely, then had it sorta fixed. Oh and I have a wife, no more Fiancee. India happened somewhere in there. A graduation with a PhD in Biology (Once again, my wife's accomplishment not mine). Two Karma Parties. Family drama. Family fixed. Left a job of five years without any leads on...

I was on a blogging kick... I really wanted to keep up with it....dang! My life hasn't been that crazy, but work and a lack of funds has been preoccupying me more than I'd like.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Taxes filed. Money due to me. And a crazy hotel pool party with DJ's this Saturday where I plan to...
