Well then, lots of stuff has been going on for me of late. My trivia night has been made a weekly event and we're having a big grand final and giving away a keg at the end of the year. The big boss is also impressed with me and made me a day manager. Yay! Also great news my best friend is now Assistant venue...

I just realized Aiki is almost Akai, and there's an S1000 in a couple of the shots.

Anybody got any good questions for my trivia night?

i love trivia (pop culture anyway)

song clips = titles/bands are always good smile

heres some easy ones:

* name 3 kennedy brothers (jfk, robert & teddy)
* name the first band nick cave was in (the boys next door)
* who is reginald dwight? (elton john)
* name joan jetts band (the runaways)

they might be a little hard but um thats off the top of my head. i'll think of more later and add smile carla should know some good stuff too.

Aiki is hella hot, synth or no synth...

Right then, all that nervousness has gone. It wasn't helped by the fact that I spent about two hours trying to log into the vtac website, finally swapping from netscape to explorer fixed it. I almost flipped though.

Good news on the work front, I'm getting a bit more responsibility, a bit higher pay rate and a whole lot more hours coming up. Band stuff...

You passed the first phase of vtac admin, working out how to use their systems on a setup other than that of the person who coded their site biggrin

Higher pay rate mean more 'sponsabilties you know biggrin
dangerobby:
Does a higher pay rate mean you'll just be throwing money around? Cause if so I'll set up a PayPal account!

Keep rocking. And other things.

Today's the big day, the day my application for the sound eng course is due. I'm really freakin nervous, even though I think I should get in. I really should be finishing it off now instead of writing this actually. Shit, I'm really nervous.

Gah, I've got a bit of a hangover today. Had my trivia night last night which was a big success, handy cause it's holidays and the kids are all away and it was the first one my bosses had seen the whole lot of. We gave away a whole lot of stuff and I was pleased that a guy on the team that won the...

A teacher of mine found out about the dangers of riding a bike drunk. By means of a power pole, off which he rode into a tree. He now walks to and from the pub.

Only because his bike is broken. Alot.

The Pink - Willy Orbit track is ok. Well it is good, but not sure Willy had to do much on it. Kinda just a very good pop record, but Ms Pink does carry herself well vocally anyway...

Today is such a lovely day I'm going to ride my bike over to the showgrounds and go to the show. I can visit the lovely Alina, who's working there. I'm not working much this week, cause the kids are all on holidays.

Isn't it funny how nobody comments in your journal when nothing traumatic is happening to you? It's like the news if there...

I wasn't posting a comment because you're going to the show, and I was boycotting all Show-related propaganda. But then I found out you're getting a monroe and then I came to giggle and cheer at your supreme coolness. Now that I'm here commenting, I've decided I should sit on the couch and watch tv.

It's been a rollercoaster of emotion, Morgy. I'm 'zorsted.

Yo, yesterday was fun. Got my new bike and rode around on it for a couple of hours, then came home exhausted and fell asleep in front of the telly. Woke up with not enough time to go see my friend's band Your Wedding Night and another band Ctrl Alt Delete from brisbane. I have their cd though and I'm listening to it right now,...

Go! the new bike. Looks like you've had a musical week. I did that, too. I was at the same bar three nights in a row, seeing 7 bands. Mostly all good.

In order, they were:
Alpha Cast
The Ken Nagas Extreme Band
Ek Schlong
Flak
The Blistering Tongues
Solo Bravo
Augustino

Just so you, y'know, know.

What just happened? I have a hazy memory of cutlasses and monkeys, but it's like a dream I just woke up from.

Not enough sleep, I've just finished my version of the working week. Four nights in a row, getting up early in the morning, it's killing me. But I've finally got the money to pay for my bike that's been on layby since february....

no. pirates have parrots. peg leg jeg had one. whoever he was. so you'll just have to put up with one too.

the idea of a sghopefuls group makes me cringe. americans and their bloody obsession with rating themselves...there's actually a website (or a few thousand) around.."hot or not"... where girls send in their pictures for no reason other than to be voted/rated by a bunch of internet geeks...makes me shudder...not to mention kind of sad.

having said that...i rate your current profile picture
!!!HOT!!!.
venal_polish:
lol...i meant the pirate one...but you're smokin' too.

TEN OUT OF TEN!!!

you should feel like a more complete person now you've got the ratings.

OK, for all you pirates out there I got this. It's my friends site, check it.

I just got back in contact with an old friend from high school in the country who I haven't seen since 1996, thanks to friendster. Thanks also to Maxx for giving me the idea. Hopefully we'll catch up soon, I think we hang at the same places with...

I'm up at 6 in the morning on my computer, having just driven my girly to work and not really wanting to go back to sleep.

I've actually been a bit productive though, getting band things in order. We hope to do a festival or two over the summer, or at least have a cd out.

I'm mostly just writing an entry cause when there's...

Another weekend of excess. Yesterday I went to my best friend's band's first public gig, they rocked. I'm constantly impressed by how wonderful and creative my friends are.

The hardcore scene has such a great sense of community, heaps of people took a free copy of their cd and left money to cover the costs of production. They're halfway to covering their costs after only...

Ooohhh talk musical gear to me! I'm saving for the piano, basically - probably the SP300. I was thinking about an acoustic piano, but read a review of digital pianos, went into the shop and tried one, now I want one. More versatile, portable, the key action is good, won't go out of tune, takes up less space, I'm sold. The shop guys gave me a catalog and I checked those things you mentioned. Drool, what great toys.
Do you have any way I can check out what your band sounds like?
