So I sure haven't been very active on here of late.

First, the end of school, then starting the museum job (which is going pretty well thus far)... Top it off with a new roomie (who I ADORE!) and a lad I'm seeing... Argh.

It doesn't help that Telus fucked up the ADSL when I transferred the account to my name (after the last roomie...

Heya Hon!!

Yeah...I am in the same boat...JUST got over the fuckin Asiatic Flu...Working my ASS off, and generally recovering from stuff that is still there, and isnn't going away...So, I suppose that would not be 'recovering', huh? lol! Again, I am SO glad your scored that Job, working in museams ROCK! I did it as a summer Job once, and It was really...the best Job I think I had as a teen...(well..Maybe the Herpetology assistant was...But the Art Gallery comes in second...for sure!)

Beauty AND Brains...You are the type of gals I have been warned about...(we always have other women hating us...don't we? ) Oh well...I say Be proud, and Flaunt it ALL Baby!

Anyhow...I am off, as I am expecting a call from my sister...The house is going up for sale...I have to decide how I am going to get My Library of 200 year old books (well..some of them anyways) But the Poe Collection itself is 150, so I have NO fuckin clue how I am gonna do THAT! *sighs*

Anyhow...Still hope I will get to meetcha this summer sometime, and I hope I can start being better about keeping up with my fiends in here...

Ha ha about the lad. You'd laugh at Kistin and I if you saw us together. It's kind of like we both know the other one like us but nothing has happened or been said so there is this goofy kind of akwardness when we are around each other.
Yeah and Fuck Telus. Possibly one of the least compotent companies in Canada.

The monthly concert thing is going to be really good for me. One of the things I have to learn is to relax and enjoy playing in front of people(never easy I know). I get so wrapped up in making sure I don't hit any wrong notes that I screw myself up.

Tonight I saw the Beaux Stratagem at the Uni. Well done, and one of the more enjoyable shows they've put on this year.

School continues to such the life out of me. What is it with well-meaning prof and teachers that drinks up your blood like wine?...

And what of these Albertan boys (or men) that are brutish and gropey? Whine, whine, whine.

Fear not,...

Thanks for popping by and saying hi!!! Maybe after your profs take all your blood they'll replace it with something cool....like antifreeze biggrin
peggy:
Wow 4 years and 3 left to go? That's about how long I'll be going but I'll have a juris doctorate after. Good luck!!! I will assume that you are enjoying school and the courses you are taking. I'm just in it to make cash. frown

Bloody homework.

On a more inspirational note: Frank Gehry was on th Simpsons last night; he designed a prison. Having just finished my Gehry-style toothbrush holder, that was pretty damn cool.

I'm so tired of homework, lesson planning and having to get the ok from sponsor teachers for everything I want to teach.
1 month left on my practicum.
Are you returning to Van/Vic for the summer?

I GOT THE JOB!
I'll be making costumes, displays et al at the Reynolds Alberta Museum this summer. It means waking up ridiculously early (for me, especially) - but it'll be worth it!
Good on the resume, and money means I can get a new tattoo (save for school, I mean).

Tomorrow my Wilde essay is due.
Then studying and work on my installation project,...

So, today was my interview at the Reynolds Alberta Museum. It went REALLY well - they'll be getting back to me next week. I'm quite sure I nailed it.

It's a friendly, fun place... I'd never been before, but took a short tour after my interview. THEY HAVE A STUDEBAKER!!!
(My grandfather used to deal them - so this is another sign from Fate, or...

Back from the world of darkness, sound cues and booths... Hurrah practicum is over! Made some good friends and fiends, tho... Turns out the Technical Director at the Uni used to "blow things up... good" on SCTV. I didn't tell him that my first ever crush was on Martin Short. I used to rush home from French Immersion to watch - and I hated when...

Today, was in a rigging class - ha.
The head carp remembered my name - but not many of the other students. That always makes me laugh - but I'm pretty loud (dressing and speaking), so it's inevitable sometimes.

Made the mistake of wearing a dress - but thankfully, I was not made to climb any ladders. Even worse is the underwear threat - I...

Yesterday was dear codeboy2's birthday party at the Black Dog. I didn't stay long - but it was great to meet all his friends at once. They're lovely!...

Also saw Mr.David at New City later in the night. I had promised to meet a friend there - but she stayed home with homework. So I danced... tongue

So, yes. School is busy - and will...

It's funny how a Monday (and now Tuesday) can make a weekend's drama seemingly vanish. Ha.

He hasn't phoned - and I respect him more for it. That's that.

I'm procrastinating; I have a library assignment I should be working on now, but I don't want to face that blasted MLA handbook. "Bible for most college students"? Boourns. It takes bloody forever to look it...

Cool, you get a budget!!! Take pictures cause I want to see what you make.
Hope the homework went okay. I'm so glad I'm not in school right now. I don't think I could handle it with everything else I've got going.
defcat:
I have to use APA format for my courses. It sucks worse than MLA. I'm supposed to be writing a paper right now, but SG is more fun. Procrastination rules! ooo aaa

Felt very much like a scarlet woman this evening.

Not just because of my new dress!

Thank goodness for codeboy2 and friends from the Drama Dept.
Much dancing and fun was had by all.

The catch?
HE HAS GIRLFRIEND.
That I like and danced with this evening.
Shit.

No I'm not mocking your dilemma. I've been in the exact same place before myself. It does, however, get really easy to get wrapped up in the whole drama of the situation. Don't forget to appreciate what you've got now because you're too busy focusing on what you want. ( Christ... when did I turn into Ann Landers?)
peggy:
yeah, i'll be going back there. If nothing else the company was great!
