The charles has been an art theatre in downtown B'more for decades - it's sort of forced a revitalization of the area around it after awhile just because it was there and the damned thing wouldn't die . Afew years ago they multiplexed it and (finally) put in new seats and a year or two after that other fun cultural things started appearing around it (good places to eat, a live theatre) so it's doing what cool things are supposed to do - grow .
It's where I go when I want to see interesting movies. Like Anime, kungfu movies, real live art movies - stuff a normal theatre wouldn't touch cuz they won't sell enough popcorn.
Otherwise if it's just some big box office thing I'll go see it at the Muvico theatre in the area - the sound is better, altho the ambiance is kinda sucky
.
Or my other favorite theatre is the Senator it's freakin' huge, it's got the best sound system in town, and the folks at lucasfilms love it. I've seen all the starwars movies there, the LOTR movies, Amadeaus, Singing in the Rain (lemme tellya, THAT was awesome!) - it's just a great place for movies
. Hopefully they'll get the Starwars movie there - it's starting to look like not tho . Sigh.

Picked upa a 2Gig Compactflash card at Costco earlier this week. I can officially shoot 810 images on one card now so I guess that's one less excuse for not shooting more.
