ah. i just love being jumpy and hasty.
i jumped up and hasted myself over to the Del Ray area of Alexandria and had myself some cashew chicken at the best little Thai place in town.
i also realized, upon speaking with the waitress, that asian (oriental? i don't know which is PC and which isn't, sorry) grrls are very very hot.
maybe its that they're so exotic, i don't know. maybe its because they almost invariably have the nicest bodies.
anyway, i'm not one to stare or try and pick up on waitresses (or anyone else for that matter, i'm horrible at it), so i contented myself with a few glances, finished my cashews and dead bird, closed my book (will it ever end?) and came back home.
not much else to say, really.
oh, i just noticed how many SGers live here in Alexandria by perusing the SGVA group. here's to hoping we could all meet up and hang out and drink many beers sometime...hanging out with people i work with sucks, and doubly so because they're mostly by-the-book geeks around whom i can't be myself. they also get wasted off 4 beers and want to go home after an hour and a half, right when i'm just getting my first twinge of a buzz and can feel the motor just start to hum on a good time. dammit.
guess i'll sit around and frag people in Tribes2 until i feel like heading to the divebar for a few beers.

How is Quicksilver? Honestly, I've been kinda disappointed by everything I've read by Stephenson except for Snow Crash.
Yeah, I like Weight-era Rollins Band the best as well.
