Well, I changed my Dj name in honour of taking it a bit seriously now.
I've been practising for a couple of hours a day, and generally I feel like my understanding of how to do it has reached a higher level. Strange that I've been doing it for ages but just didn't really think enough about it. I'm really into what it is that makes people dance,a nd what makes them lose interest. I've had a chance to play in front of a few different crowds lately, and it's amazing how one tune that makes everyone go mad somewhere kills the dancefloor somewhere else > even if you recognise a few of the same people in the room!
My eye is puffing over because of my cat allergy. I look a bit Quasimodo.
Despite that, a very very pretty nymphette asked me out for a drink at the end of the club last night. Probably too young for me really, but I appreciate the compliment. She's got my number now so we'll see what happens (probably nothing).
My strenuous efforts to work my ass off and not spend money seem to have worked a bit!
If i forget that i have to pay my rent, then I've paid off most of my immediate debt. Pleased i am. I feel like splashing out on £200 worth of records to celebrate, but that would be missing the point somewhat i think, no?
And how did i save the money up?
I stayed in and watched those live autopsy programmes on the telly.
I am now quite worried about what goes on inside me.
There is a girl I'm supposed to go out for a drink with, but, well... hmmm. A drink is a bit like a date, and I've only had two dates in about seven years. It seems like a stressful proposition. A bit too much like a sales pitch. Some of you may already know that I find schmoozing to be the bain of my life already, so the idea of talking about myself just appals me. But maybe actually that's where I'm going wrong. I should talk about the other person, and maybe some art, and talk about...
