my first tattoo was incredibly shitty. It was so badly done and didn't follow the origonal design in the slightest. I was an idiot, not just for letting the person who did it do it but for being too impatient to wait and get it done properly - it was my vest piece. No, not the chest piece I have now, this is a cover up.
Te origonal was done by an ex boyfriend turned friend at the age of 16. I'd seen other tattoos he's done and thought they looked good- I was wrong (it wasn't his work). Anyway, he didn't let me see anything until finished and shoddy, not even the stencil which clearly didn't/couldn't of looked anything like the design I'd been shown. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I don't have any pictures available of the original tattoo. Since then, I've also had another bad tattoo but I don't class either as my first (or second).
I class my first tattoo as my current chest piece and my first properly done tattoo. It was done by the very talented Niel at Odd Fellows in Leeds and I'm so in love with it. It took 4 sessions, a lot of money (good work isn't cheap kids) and roughly 12-13 hours in total and he's done an amazing job covering up the small mess that once was there.
It's so much better than what I asked him for, hence why I'm a returning customer and will continue to be for a long time :)
Here it is, in all it's colourful glory
For those who feel the need to ask as if it's not clear, it's a heart lock with wings and a bunch of keys and ribbon coming out the top :) excuse the filter and towel haha
Thank you @missy and @rambo for the awesome blog topic <3
