Food. Sweet food.
I'm a hairstylist/MUA, but I only went to beauty school because after 3 attempts of gettin into pastry school, I kind of lost hope. 6 years later and I am still thinking about it all the time, I should have done it, I will do it... I dream of pastries, cakes, but mostly COOKIES! I want to open a Biscuiterie (French for a cookies only shop, kind of like Cupcakeries, but cupcakes are no longer original). For you Americans, Biscuit means something completely different. In French, Biscuit -meaning twice cooked- refers to any and all kinds of cookies. I would not only sell cookies, but homemade marshmallow -which are super simple to make and I will garantee you that if you don't like store bought marshmallows, you will adore mine!-, homemade energy bars, I also do a mean Guiness cake with cream cheese frosting...and bubble tea.
*Sigh* It's a beautiful dream, opening a café/bakery...I am always a bit nostalgic when I see baking instruments and moulds. Unfortunately, it's a very timey and expensive dream. Oh well.
My favourite cookie recipe? Chewy chocolate chip, pecan and homemade marshmallow.
My friends favourite cookie recipe? My gingerbread cookies. I don't kid you, I am making often around (10 batches x 50 cookies each) 500 cookies in December and I hardly ever eat more than one because they go so fast!
So there you go, my guilty pleasure is sweet, sweet goodness. I am never ever as passionate about my job as a hairstylist as I am passionate with food.
I get that passion from my dad, but perhaps that's for an other blog. ;)
