Once, while taking a walk near my old house, I came upon an abandoned trailer. It was falling apart and someone had dumped it in an empty lot. Of course the logic behind such an action completely elludes me, but I think it goes something like "that place is empty. Nobody is doing anything with it. I'm going to put all of my trash there."...

go to harbin hot springs...ease into the 113 degree pool...sit until you think you might die....go jump into the 38 degree pool....mind blowing. i agree with the tripping alone on shrooms. i use to take them often, now sometimes. my best trips have been alone...or atleast without other humans. when it's just me i am free.

Walks in the cold. I found a secret path down the street from my house. It curves along a creek, hidden from the suburban hell that I so long to escape. Winter trees, drowned shopping carts. Murky water, white sky.

Thanks for the niece congrats. Her name is Geneva and boy is she a screamer. Hehehe..

Yes, the human body is capable of amazing things, most of which I've never really known. I've never been really physically active although my mom and my sister are both ballet dancers (and my brother is something of a jock). I've wish I knew somebody personally who could show me the joys of being active because I know they have to exist.

Otherwise exercise, even the marathon training, is more of a necessary evil than anything else. And that's just silly, right?

I watched "The Straight Story" tonight. What a wierd concept (David Lynch making a movie for Disney) It was sooo THAT, too. It was the epitome of a Disney David Lynch movie. Thats about the best way to describe it. It's about an old man who drives his lawnmower several hundred miles across 2 state lines to visit his dying brother. only, instead of it...

My favorite memory from seeing that film in the theatres was during the opening credits, when this came up (as best my memory serves, I haven't seen it since):

"Walt Disney Pictures Presents:

A film by David Lynch..."

Several people in the audience cracked up at that, including me...it was a little surreal and amusing to see those two entities in one place, Disney & Lynch...whatever
pendejo:
That's the one Lynch film I haven't seen; sounds interesting. He's definately one of my favorites.

Speaking of movies did you ever see the film version of "Meetings With Remarkable Men"? It's not the greatest but the scene at the end with the movements being performed gives me goosebumps. I was fortunate to have studied them with some of the most advanced practitioners in the world and it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Sucks I didn't have the dedication to pursue it but it meant opening up my life totally and that is so scary.

I just started to receive all the editorial for this months newspaper. I have a super short deadline this month because of the holidays. Into a flurry of sleepless nights again. I have to wait until my werewolf baby falls asleep at night before I can get any work done. (hes restless from the full moon and while my teeth get sharp, he's popping out...

Hi lunabelle! Actually, the mercury immunization was given a long time ago, the guy in my journal is now in his late 30's, but I totally respect your decision with your son. I agree that many immunizations and antibacterials definitely do more harm than good. It's hard to stand up to "established" medical ideas, and it's good that you do what you feel is right. smile

Im open. a flower that blooms in the night. Evening Primrose, Sweet-scented Nicotiana, Angel's Trumpet. The air around me shimmers like like an illusory curtain, it might fall away at any moment revealing furtive truths in hushed tones. The ground beneath is wet. My roots absorb the tears, the blood, the sweat of a thousand and one nights.

When the bellows close.
the last string...

Off to my favorite Asian market to buy:

green papaya
ram rau
pho
sambal olek
thai basl
coconut milk
young coconuts
water beetles

These are a few of my favorite things. I am braving a dangerous, terrible storm just to get them.

Take note of it now, this woman is a genius... she is so much more then any of you could ever handle. For fuck's sake, well I don't know, she's just amazing and don't forget it or I will whap you all with spatulas until you play the accordion yourselves, little monkeys!

She should now, immediately be everyone's current crush. Or you are just plain delusional. Thank you.

Someday I'm stealing her to Portland and we're starting a commune with all the cool people and we'll have 35 foot kombuchas in silos underground and we'll have an art studio that's the house, and we'll sleep in tents outside the house to not interrupt all the artists.
