I miss my dad a lot today. I know I'm a 35 year old adult, but right now I feel like a kid who just needs a hug from his dad. Call your dad today, or if you live close enough give him a big hug and tell him that you love him. Then do the same for your mom.
I'm getting old, and it is getting me down. I found white hairs in my beard yesterday, I smell like bengay more often than I'd like to admit. I've caught up on Vikings, and so I've decided in a vain attempt to recapture my youth, I'm going to raid west, it worked for Ragnar maybe it will work for me.
The past month has been pretty crappy for a number of reasons, but she always seems to know how to make me so happy. It's the simple things sometimes, but today it was the a big thing, or at least a big thing for me.
Things aren't always what we want, and what we want isn't always what we need... but sometimes just sometimes there is beauty in all of it.
