up all night. one of those alone nights. it's good - lots of thinking + feeling on nights like this.

also:
spring showed up on tuesday - sun, wind, clouds, green, rain!

--

to be interested in the changing seasons is, in this middling zone, a
happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with spring.

I have always been infatuated with japense culture, and learned a thing or two from my years of working as a night shift admin, and have nothing to do but surf the internet wink

back from califas! it was a good trip.

i saw the airport antfarm. people never make eye contact there. i saw an old man trip on the people mover in denver intl - no one stopped to help him up. in oakland intl i saw an old black man shining texan cowboy boots. he was humming a spitual; his purple hat said MAN OF GOD....

i'm carrying around some weird sadness tonight. not sure where it's from, but it's familiar.

i was thinking about skindiving: the bubbles, the heavy water, pushing as far down as you can, how sweet the air tastes when you break the surface again.

in the summertime, lots of people go to some waterfalls near here. a stream created deep pot holes in a stair step...

Thanks for the words and the uplift love within them. *hugs*

The sea was most marvelous and lovely. (There are freakish photos taken by yours truly. Teehee!)

I have never been skin diving but O someday! I love the oceans so very much, and I long to experience them in all ways of intimacy.

Are we going to be blessed with pics of your new spring colors? Hmmmmm?

*love and peace and blissful dancing*

I did really like that poem! Thank you! It reminds me of my other favourite poet Richard Brautigan! Yay!

sometimes you can see it coming up on you like a car crash. they happen twice. in the breath before: tires screaming, metal screaming, you screaming. then it happens, and everything is quiet.

in other news: 26 days til sf. whey protein still tastes like ass. i fed a stray dog part of my lunch. swayzak makes me dance.

There were murmurings from the jungle of vomit
with the empty women, with hot wax children,
with fermented trees and tireless waiters
who serve platters of salt beneath harps of saliva.
There's no other way, my son, vomit! There's no other way.
It's not the vomit of hussars on the breasts of their whores,
nor the vomit of cats that inadvertently swallowed frogs,
but the...

Well, I don't know how much time I'll be spending in any casinos, only because I have no self-control and don't want to start gambling. wink
But I definitely will try to see as much as I can while I'm out there. Should be fun.

i spent the last 2 hrs playing email catch up. i will be glad when busy season is over at work. i miss the internet.

speaking of work, i threw away about 40lbs of dead sharks from the labs last week. the dumpsters are about 100 meters from the colorado river. i really don't want to think about the run off from those dumpster that...

Purple fuzzy fluff pictures are now posted. Teehee! I also posted lots of pictures from various moss expeditons. They will perhaps sooth the soul from missing the dampishness that is the great north wet? wink

Poor sharks! What kind of place do you work at?! I envision a strange mysterious lab that is in charge of creating mutant shark creatures with lasers strapped to their heads. Poor river. The things that people mindlessly dump makes my heart sad. frown

Hallucination Engine is definitely in my top 10 of the best albums ever! It is all kinds of goodness. If you are an old school Cure fan, I recommend picking up the boxed set. It has all the B sides that were realeased on the Staring at the Sea cassette, and lots of other wonderful remixes, B sides and covers. Full of Robert Smithy angst and wonderfully silly classic Cureness.

Hope that your traveling feet bring you back to the Pacific Northwest someday. *sparkle hug*

Thanks, brother! And I look forward to it. smile

snow! lots of it.

it is hanging from the trees, cracking branches. it is covering the rooftops and roads. it is all over me.

last night it tried to kill me. i lost control on the overpass on my way home from work, and slid perpendicular down the blacktop towards a creeping snowplow. i thought about ditching the car for a second, but decided i'd...
