I'm in New York (state; Albany.)
Saturday I move to my new home in Vermont.
!
Is everybody ok? Not with me moving...you know what I mean. The new Big C.

YOU HERE
While I have you here,
Can you see me?
Your face all of fear,
Am I an appearance?
My grandfather driving
Down Touhy Avenue
Says he seen a pale horse
Outside the White Hen.
My back is bent
When love weighs
Upon me upon us
All beneath the moon.

Chicago
My little nursing home crusade bore some fruit. Maron brought up an email I sent him on Monday's episode with Dan Levy. I did an hour and twenty minute interview with WBEZ, Chicago's public radio.
I did what I could.
I'm moving to Vermont. A publisher friend invited me.
Here's a new poem.

Losing the keys to the
castle in high school,
but your brand of tom-
foolery is cashed
I've never felt less
like doing anything...

LE SAMOURAI
(for Mike)
Remember when the
sky burned cobalt
when the captives were
unshackled from actual
shackles not systemic
attempts to starve stomachs
remember 'what if?' ?
now it's 'what, when'
but then you remember
there was no sun that summer
and we often slept soundly
in a roundabout way
of the samurai mountains
