Fun weekend. I spent Friday night in Wilmington, DE hanging out with a college friend I haven't seen in awhile. The evening was slightly marred by his decision to try to stop his car which he had forgotten to put in park from hitting another car by sticking his leg in between them. Wow swollen. Otherwise good times. My roommate and I then went to...

It's an open event for anybody who wants to come, we just have very large regular attendees who handle any unruly people. wink

Wreernt and myself try to supply some kind of dinner if we get in advance an accurate number of people who wish to show up, otherwise there are always copeous amounts of snacks and we live withen delivery distance of quite a few places.

The event is BYOB and we ask you either drink responsibly, or preferably a DD.

I have an Xbox and Gamecube and quite a few games for each. I have a bunch of "dead" systems as well that I can drag out if anybody wants to play those.

As for games, we tend to play whatever people suggest or bring,, mostly four player games, or two player games that go quickly so nobody has to sit too long.

Stuff we have been playing recently Halo, Mario Kart Double Dash, and Pac Man Vs.

We'll also have been known to bust out some board games like Trivia persuit that large groups can play or to all figure out a movie to throw in.

So there's not really an overall set plan other than to meet new people, see old friends, and have a good time.

We're glad to say the event has slowly grown over time and people who come once tend to want to come to the next month's night.

If you have any more questions about game night or need directions feel free to hit me up via my email in my journal contact button.

I just saw Fahrenheit 9/11. I didn't learn anything new, and Michael Moore always manages to rub me the wrong way, but I still had a very strong visceral reaction to the film. I'm a passive liberal; I've never attended a protest, and apart from the arguments I get into with my friends, I don't do alot to get involved with the day to day...

I've decided I'm only going to update when I've been drinking. 7 Stella Artois is enough to give me a nice hangover for work in the morning, but I had a buzz at best. Irregardless smile , went to Reel Big Fish. It was fun even though the average age was 16. It was the kind of show where you need to ask for ID if...

Argh! Get out here! I'd love to see you again!

Things are going pretty well... I was living with Brodnik and Jared Krause, but they've since moved two floors down from me.

LOTS to catch up on. LOTS AND LOTS. I can't believe I found you here randomly...

EDIT: Also, how the hell are Paulie and Matt?? Get in touch with me via email. We should exchange our current numbers.

I went to the DC Suicide Girls burlesque show last night. It was fun, and it cemented my love for Nixon.
Not much else going on, just the everyday boringness of being a working stiff. ARRR!!!

I just watched the Station Agent. Nice little picture. Very well acted, and underplayed, almost quiet. smile

Nixon is PRETTY.

I have a question. You have the special edition of "Freaks and Geeks" right? Have you seen the table reading for "Girlfriends and Boyfriends"? If so, what the hell is James Franco doing? Is he... staying in character? On speed? Forgot to take his ritalin? Dude is weird.
anonymouse:
He was doing things with his hands or something. I don't know. Something wacky. Putting his hands in his sleeves and swinging about. Skip forward to the parts where the camera is on James Franco and watch him. It's entertaining.

Netflix promotes the watching of crappy movies!!

I was a film snob; I prided myself on this.

But due to Netflix I have seen crap that I never even would have gone near before.
Eurotrip, Swimfan, Club Dread, and dozens of other pictures that never should have been exposed to these eyes.

The problem is that Netflix allows me to rationalize it; I convince myself...

Let's give the journal a shot.
I have to keep reminding myself that this isn't Livejournal and I'm not a sixteen year old girl (though that would be kind of hot), so I will not reference Donny Darko. Or Thursday.

Watched crappy Eurotrip last night (referenced my hometown) then read "Howl" and "America" out loud. It's kind of interesting, especially with Howl, you develop a...

Eurotrip followed by Ginsberg readings -- almost certainly the only time that has ever happened...

I hope my out-of-the-blue request to link you as a friend didn't seem entirely random. Freaks and Geeks is the best TV show ever made, and I couldn't resist having Bill Haverchuck on my buddy list... biggrin
