Hurricane didn't hit us too hard, only without power for about 40 hours. Really nothing compared to how bad other people got hit. Although I was getting really bored and was going to start to lose my mind every time I went to turn on a light switch and had to remind myself "There's no power dummy".

I mostly bought it for the plan with Virgin Mobile, only $35 a month with unlimited text and data versus AT&T's $45+ with 20 cents a text and no data plan.
