Oh! It was you! I was wondering from whom I got the Raising Arizona and chocolates! Thank you for that! These chocolates are AWESOME. So far. I've only had the one, "cinnamon praline." Please tell me where you got them.

I love that I accused you of being a horrible person for taking the Jger off my buddy, then I turned around and screwed someone out of your gift. Oh the irony.

Quick anecdote, just for you: I went to Vancouver for the weekend... My sister, father and I have birthdays four days apart in December, so my parents and I went up to B.C. (where my sister lives) to celebrate. Running out of the house for the aiport, I realized I hadn't bought a gift for her, so I grabbed the Raising Arizona DVD cuz it was still wrapped, and figured I'd just buy myself one when I got back. Or Netflix it. Which is kinda sad cuz I don't own many DVDs and I really, REALLY like that movie. I shlep the DVD up to Vancouver, run a block away from the hotel in (literally) freezing cold to Sears to get it giftwrapped while the family is breakfasting, and write a really nice card to my sister telling her that I love the movie and I hope she does, too.

She unwraps it, makes a totally disappointed face and says, "oooooh, I don't really like this movie. You can have it." And she gave it back to me. Kismet! And no, I don't know what the hell her problem is. But I ain't complaining.

I should have followed that rule. I was originally going to get ten lottery tickets and put them in a sealed ziplock baggie labeled "not to be opened 'til all gifts have been excahnged"... just for the fun of generating some controversy. Cuz, you know, it would've fallen into Gift Exchange Guidelines before scratching, but very unlikely afterwards -- to one extreme or another. But I ended up getting a gift I thought would be fought over... it failed miserably. Impulse buy.

I don't think I've ever been to the Target. Ever. Can you deal? I wholeheartedly approve of their chocolates! I got my dad chocolate for his birthday... A box of Maltesers. They're like Whoppers, only the malt center is almost lighter than air. Really good.

Just a quick note: you can use code to link to a group, like this:

[ group=ballet ] (with no spaces between the square brackets and the text)

...and it'll show up like this: ballet.

The best thing is that I'm so freaked out and even in emotional pain during the paranoia, and afterwards I look back and realize how stupid I was being.

Here's to constant self-deprecation.

Hey, you don't have to tell me twice - my computer records all The N episodes of Daria (stupid edits!), so I'm trying to keep sane until they finally release a DVD, if ever!

And woohoo for all-day sex!
