I have that feeling sometimes too. Like there was something within you that you ignored or neglected and now it's gone. Maybe one day you'll find that sense of adventure?

I think that his voice (and many of his songs) are just so different to anything else you hear that you are not prepared for it. I think raw is absolutely the right word, he does sing about pretty uncomfortable subjects too.

I finally got around to watching There Will Be Blood last night.

Though I had beer, not milkshake, and he didn't get a drop.

Ah, January again. hmm. anyway, it's important that I try and sort my life out this year (really sort it out). haven't exactly figured out how I'm going to do it yet, but... eh, I can't carry on like this...

I loved that film.

Haven't read that one; thanks for the link, it's appreciated.

Re: sorting life out: I'm always happy to provide useless and irrelevant advice, should you be in the mood for it tongue

Re: holidays: I'd settle for a whole week of genuine time to myself, at home. Or maybe even three days. But I also have hankerings after the extreme north-western tip of Portugal - never been there, but it seems to be a blank on lots of bird distribution maps. So I'm puzzled, and I suspect it might be worth a look.

Hello. i hope youve all been having a good christmas, whatever youve been doing.

Anyone remember this? It was great. It has been turned into this:

It might well turn out to be a decent film in its own right, but Im not sure how theyll cram 6 hours worth of conspiratorial capering into a 2 hour story. Well, apart from by hacking away...

I think that the problem with me is that I worry about issues 3 or 4 steps down the line which are always larger than the problem I should be dealing with at the time.

I must admit that I was very excited when I unwrapped my lightsaber. Its one of the ones which you build yourself so I had great fun choosing which parts I wanted.

Hope that you had a good Christmas and have an even better new year.

Saucy is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. But then I am a bass player, and pretty saucy myself, so I do know a bit about these things tongue

Excellent smile

But just fyi, your links do map-only smile

Try doing them from google.com - they seem to work better.

I'll have another look when I get back (in January).

You should post them in the group smile

I love slow motion videos like those. The water balloon one is especially good.

it is! biggrin

but you see scandinavian movies not very often in german cinemas - so it was a unique opportunity. i also wanted to see "let the right one in" (in original language with english subtitles) but unfortunately i got sick that evening.

I think smaller companies with less than 10 people are probably OK, but once you get above that it starts getting worser and then add American owenrs in to teh mix and it's just surreal
mark_plus_beer:
you should watch it
