First of all, I have a few friends who have had a bit of a crappy week, so this is me sending psychic waves of love out. If you've also had a crap day/week/month/etc feel free to take a little kiss

I feel like I'm finally getting my life into gear. I'm beginning to know who I am a little better, and lately I like myself...

Well, last week I was feeling lonely and rejected, and this week I feel like everythings turning around!

1. Went to an old friends birthday party (who I've known for like 13 years) who I have not seen in quite some time, and it was like no time had passed! He's a magician and very quirky, pretty flaky though, so it can be hard to...

This is pretty much the best poem ever.

Scientific Romance

If starship travel from our
Earth to some far
star and back again
at velocities approaching the speed
of light made you younger than me
due to the relativistic effects
of time dilation,
Id show up on your doorstep hoping
youd developed a thing for older men,
and Id ask you to show me everything...

Another one that is similar is Neil Gaimans "The Day the Saucers Came."

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

The Day The Saucers Came by NeilGaiman
That Day, the saucers landed. Hundreds of them, golden,
Silent, coming down from the sky like great snowflakes,
And the people of Earth stood and
stared as they descended,
Waiting, dry-mouthed, to find out what waited inside for us
And none of us knowing if we would be here tomorrow
But you didnt notice because

That day, the day the saucers came, by some some coincidence,
Was the day that the graves gave up their dead
And the zombies pushed up through soft earth
or erupted, shambling and dull-eyed, unstoppable,
Came towards us, the living, and we screamed and ran,
But you did not notice this because

On the saucer day, which was zombie day, it was
Ragnarok also, and the television screens showed us
A ship built of dead-mens nails, a serpent, a wolf,
All bigger than the mind could hold,
and the cameraman could
Not get far enough away, and then the Gods came out
But you did not see them coming because

On the saucer-zombie-battling-gods
day the floodgates broke
And each of us was engulfed by genies and sprites
Offering us wishes and wonders and eternities
And charm and cleverness and true
brave hearts and pots of gold
While giants feefofummed across
the land and killer bees,
But you had no idea of any of this because

That day, the saucer day, the zombie day
The Ragnarok and fairies day,
the day the great winds came
And snows and the cities turned to crystal, the day
All plants died, plastics dissolved, the day the
Computers turned, the screens telling
us we would obey, the day
Angels, drunk and muddled, stumbled from the bars,
And all the bells of London were sounded, the day
Animals spoke to us in Assyrian, the Yeti day,
The fluttering capes and arrival of
the Time Machine day,
You didnt notice any of this because
you were sitting in your room, not doing anything
not even reading, not really, just
looking at your telephone,
wondering if I was going to call.

You know, I find it really hard to make friends. Really really hard. It's hard for me to talk to most people, and it's hard for a lot of people to talk to me. So getting past that stage is hard.
You know what's harder? Having to run around after people so I can spend time with them. I've now rescheduled a dinner I wanted...

Hey, welcome back. People like that aren't your friends. I don't know what the fuck they are, but it isn't worth it. I've had some of those same problems. I got lucky, I found the best friends in the world... for real, they probably saved my life. Hang in there, we all love you, and eventually you'll find people worthy of you smile.

"Man, I was thinking about unrequited love. I figure it's best to just walk that shit off. Find someone else to be excited about. It's like if you love ice cream but your ice cream man friend won't give you any. Maybe he's got a good reason. It cuts into profits. Who knows? But he likes you as a friend and wants to hang out...

Ice Cream can sometimes give you headaches, doughnuts do not.... go for the dough...

That is so sad to hear about your political leaders... ( I vote Green Party in Canada when i vote)

Yeah, unrequited love is for chumps.

Thanks, hopefully they'll both be replaced by next election. I usually vote "land rights for gay whales".

I'm not surprised about your car. Driving in Australia is an insane experience. I've seen enough Australian movies to know that every time you get behind the wheel, freaks on motorcycles try to kill you.

You mean it's not like that everywhere? But all the cops ride poisonous horses and carry bowie knives there, right?

I've decided to write a list of all my favorite sites to look at. Most of them are just fun, but I love them all.

Just For Fun-

Animals talking in all caps This site is pretty much what it sounds like, but what you don't get from the name is the witticism and dysfunctional charm these animals have. The writer is basically one of...

Today was a good day.

I finally got motivated enough to clean my room, and move the furniture so it doesn't feel all wrong. And it looks amazing. I finally cleaned the bathroom (this was a kind of silent war between us and our housemate B cause he left beard hair all over the floor, do neither was touching it. I finally gave up. It...

We're all here for ya! And like lectorvyal said, some of us know exactly what you're going through, you're not alone (although I prefer The Black Keys over Interpol, but tomato-potato or something like that lol). I've probably lost more friends over the course of my life to fill 2 more lifetimes. Sometimes people just move on. It's not necessarily a bad thing, just keep moving on, more friends will come. And hey, you still got The Boy, that should be worth something wink.
