nice little rant in my Live Journal brought up by a question I saw on this website:

but, be warned, I write sad since, well, I've learned, no one wants to see me sad. case in point, when I finally cried after finding out my uncle (who was like a father growing up) committed sucide (having gone all day without crying), what am I told by my Mom? "You have to be strong for Aunt Patrice tomorrow, you can't cry in front of her."
gee, thanks. all I wanted to do is get out the pain that was so bad I was shaking. that's all!
