so this weekend was kind of the "birthday weekend" for me.
Friday Spring Break started where I work. got up at 6 AM (UGH!) and watched as the kiddies left. helped clean the office until about 12:30 when the Associate Director sent me home. came back, took a good 2 to 2 1/2 hour nap (did I mention waking up at 6 AM? after falling asleep around 2 AM?). did a little cleaning. went to the Associate Director's house for dinner. well, got her a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka as a "thank you" gift. nice dinner. small cake for me and the other AC who's birthday was Sunday. that was nice.
got back home, Mom had called. my great aunt passed away at the age of 75 on my birthday. went to sleep and never woke up.
Saturday was my Mom and step-dad coming out for lunch. went to Parkers, a local establishment. nothing special. got my present (I picked it out, a Stealth Fighter model that is 1:32 scale and most of the paints that go with it).
drove into Rochester after farting around for a while. went to my cousin's house to chill with him, his wife, his 2 sons (one is going to be 3, the other was born in October) and my younger sister. same cousin who's dad committed suicide in December. he's still pissed about it. small dinner, relaxing time (always need that, and my cousin seems to understand me). they gave me a "Make a Bear" for my birthday. his name is Hobart. he's on my dresser now.
my younger sister gave me a box from Bombay company. kind of cool. my older sister has a dragon statue ordered, waiting for that to come.
Sunday, went back into Rochester. saw my dad and step-mom for a while (hour and a half or so). went to the wake for my great aunt. saw some family. then went to Tim Horton's with my younger sister. think she needed to vent.
and that's how I spent my birthday weekend.
kind of bummed that the girl that I almost dated over the summer (the one that I spent a week with when her mom died) has said nothing. guess she's forgotten about me. that happens a lot. I'm 29 and realizing that for one reason or another, I should date. or so it seems, since no one has really been interested in me in the past, well, close to 4 1/2 years. except for a psycho!

well, that's all for now. I have about 2 days of work left. then lots of work on my Star Trek: Deep Space 9 model. fiber optics. I've painted it flat black. using Gun Metal, Anthracite Grey Metallic, Graphite Metallic, and Black Metallic for highlighting and details. going to be sweet looking! even added to the fiber optic! hope to get it done and a good digital camera. I can post pics then!
and getting my tattoo ideas done for the tattoo in part to remember my uncle, in part to remember what he did. I almost committed suicide about 11 years ago (1994). this will help me remember why I don't ever want to go that route again!
and, for all those who don't know, Lennon (yes, she is also the Suicide Girl of the same name) has an import album out "I Am" that hopefully I either get my hands on soon or it gets released in the US! plus, according to her website, is working on other stuff! check her out! great voice to go with a beautiful person! plus, well, I ordered 2 CD's from her website, expected only 1 to be autographed. both were. I'll spend my money on her from now on!
