little stretching, doing the Yoga tape....feeling kind of okay actually. and something must be working...I took my blood pressure on Tuesday morning. busy day, around 6:30 AM, awake since 8 PM, working since 11:15 PM, just got done pushing carts for about 10 to 20 minutes. and still within the "good" range. since previously my blood pressure was in the pre-hypertensive range, think that's a good thing.
V-Day was busy. we had one cashier scheduled after midnight. ended with me, cashier, and coordinator on register because of how busy it was. for some odd reason, the manager doing the scheduling does not realize we get a big rush around midnight...so having 2 people on is a good thing. instead, 1 person who gets backed up.
V-Day morning, 3 cashier and me on....all 4 of us on register at one time. mind you, this was before 7:30 AM...and normally I'm okay with 2 cashiers.
then today, my 6 AM cashier doesn't show. we call her, and get a "I thought I worked at 11:30 AM, must have read the schedule wrong." she shows up at 7:30 AM. my 7 AM cashier isn't there....she has her father's funeral, and the shift was never covered. oh how fun. kept things up, though...as only I can.
and the annoying part...the 6 AM cashier is a full-time employee. she's a moron IMHO, a full-time cashier who constantly goes "How do I do this?" or "How do I do that?" how can you do the job full-time....a job designed for someone without a high school diploma, have a college degree and no clue? still can't figure that out. and her "punishment" for being 1 1/2 hours late? well, her shift was extended so she got her 8 hours in. my opinion....she can use vacation time and/or personal time to cover those hours.
but what do I know?
tomorrow, pushing carts for 5 1/2 hours. got out of the 4 1/2 hour maintenance shift. always annoying when you go into a department where 3 guys are standing around chatting about whatever, and one looks at you, points, and goes "Make sure to get that garbage of ours." bite me...this is the only store in the COMPANY where maintenance empties your garbage. you have a central area. stop being a lazy sack of shit and bring it to one spot....like ALL other departments do!
and the manager overseeing maintenance...well, he won't send out a memo saying "Keep the buttons unblocked, since this is a new program by the company and need to have access to these buttons as proof we cleaned up the area." he must be too afraid to say this in writing or something.
oh how I need a new job.....or one day walk in with a semi-automatic weapon and start cleaning house!
so how was your week?
