ahh, I so love a screwed up sleep schedule. especially one fueled by work.
here's what my weekends are like now:
work Friday night from 11:30 PM to 8:00-ish AM (depending on when I get my lunch break).
work Saturday night from 11:30 PM to 8:00-ish AM again.
and then work Sunday from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM pushing carts.
yup, 10 hours between shifts. so I end up working like that with maybe 4 or 5 hours of sleep.
come home, have to "unwind" after pushing carts, maybe eat. however, a "normal" nights sleep won't happen. I might sleep 4 hours or so (like last night), because I already slept. its more of a nap then a full night's sleep.
seriously, if I could afford it, i would look at getting Ambien or something! just to sleep 8 hours!
what else? still waiting to hear back from St. Joseph's Villa. plan on fixing my car this week. paying bills. yeah, the same old stuff!
still kind of bummed that, while I should be looking forward to having my own caseload of students to meet this Wednesday, I have nothing. being in an area where districts couldn't pass their budgets or couldn't afford new hires (especially when hearing about positions that were supposed to open up) really bites. jobs are just tough to find here. and then you learn other things about schools, such as Districts who suspend a Superintendent with pay and then release her with a hefty pay out (in part, why? because the Board of Ed is on a power trip?) or a district that has huge administrator costs....yeah, it kind of pisses you off! this being the area I grew up in as well......kind of bites to think I need to leave the area to find a job!
what else? the cute girl....okay, maybe not "cute" but definitely nice and not too hard on the eyes. yeah, found out that her boyfriend of three years lives in New Jersey. that bites. seriously, where else do you find a girl who loves horror movies and Halloween? and then I find this out! major bummers!
oh well, such is the single life. learned a long time ago to accept it. another reason why!
and best of luck to someone on my friend's list. she's going through an incredibly hard time! won't say who, its her decision to tell. but send positive thoughts her way!
thanks!
