well, no news on the job search front. no phone call from York. which, by the way, has 2 jobs posted.
an art teacher for the elementary school and the 9-12 Guidance Counselor. so this makes me wonder.
are they just slow in getting things done?

so Monday, I fill out and mail out the application to St. Joseph's Villa. and sleep.
so, a while back, mentioned a side cover for my transmission. I know what the part is and about how much it will cost. however, my question now....is this a part I have to buy from the dealer? or can i get it after market? basically, its a metal plate inside my front driver's side wheel well. it provides access to the transmission.
anyone know?
and latest "step-father" logic....he goes to a mechanic out in Caledonia. my step-father feels that this guy gives him a deal. let's see.....the drive out to Caledonia is about 45 minutes to an hour and at least 30 miles one-way.
when I thought my back-up switch went, he asked his mechanic about cost. his mechanic told him "$75 for the part and one hour labor to put it in ($75+$60=$135)." I called the dealer, to find out how much it would cost. my step-father was there when the dealership (yes, Doan Dodge, I would assume more expensive part) said "Oh, the part is about $30" so what is the cost difference there? NAPA Auto Parts that much better?
or is my step-father getting screwed? which I am not surprised by!
ADDENDUM:
and the posting is down. looks like this year's attempts (oh, 15+ school districts applied to) to get a school counseling job (either long-term sub or permanent) has failed.
yay! let's see...only four more years left on my provisional certification that I need three years experience on to get permanent.....

I have always found that getting parts from NAPA was cheaper than getting parts from the dealer. I think Tunnel is right your step dad is getting kickbacks
