well, finally got in touch with the Rush-Henrietta School District, after 2 phone calls and one e-mail on my part. I am interviewing on July 29th at Noon. now all I have to do is stop by work and make sure I get the day off (at least before 4 PM!).
it seems as if there are about 3 or 4 time slots open, so I'm guessing not a lot of competition.
also, the fact that the position really wasn't posted too much (mostly in their Penny Saver I guess) could help. they have my information because, well, I posted my resume on an on-line system. one night, I decided to check off all the school districts on the list (instead of the ones posting a school counselor position) as being allowed to view my information...so I think that was a good idea!
so what else? well, that's about it. my sleep schedule is kind of weird still. I went to sleep sometime between 4 and 5 AM. I slept maybe until 10 AM. and then off and on. I brought a phone in my room just in case the call came in....and then spent all morning waking up to phone calls that were not for me (look, see the number, silence the ring). fun times!
so yeah, wish me luck!
ADDENDUM:
and my car is in the shop again. I go to go someplace, put it in reverse, its not moving (like I hit a rock or something). put it in drive, I move a little bit and then I'm stuck.
the symptoms:
rear driver's side tire is not moving, the other three tires are moving.
the parking brake lever is real loose. usually there is a good amount of tension in the lever, but not this time!
I call, it has been towed to the dealership (love those warranties!). while getting the car on the bed, the tire started moving but you could hear a noise as it turned.
my diagnosis:
the parking break needs to be fixed!
bummers!
ADDENDUM 7/23:
Well, the dealership called. my rear brake had rotted and a piece broke off, damaging the cable. the cost of everything? $440 +tax. about $475. what is covered under warranty? nothing!
bummers!
