Good seeing SGNYers last night.
I'm fucking exhausted.
But the video is starting to make sense.
I am excited.
And exhausted.

Because the last two entries were long, this is geared towards shorter attention spans.

My roomate, Austen, was at a club two nights ago. He was standing next to Spike Lee. There were a lot of candles there, and some girl's hair caught fire. I mean, big time fire. With all that product, the flames were reaching higher than her head in less than a...

Part 2:

Okay, so now I'm at LaGuardia and they've released my car for towing. It's killing me to be able to look at my car, but not drive it.
Adding to the list of awful things that could go wrong is a special AAA provision that only happens in New York. AAA WON'T TOW a car that ISN'T REGISTERED! Noooooo! ONLY IN NEW YORK!...

New pictures added in all folders.

I spoke with somone at the Oregon DMV today. There are few things I love more than a friendly DMV person. And I've had a lot of experience talking with them. Mainly becuase of this fucked up thing that happened a few yeas ago.
Two years ago, when I was living in Newport, RI, I had some free time...

Saw a poem on the subway today that the MTA has in the cars. I liked it, so I memorized it.

With love so like fire they dared not
Let it out into strawy small talk;
With love so like a flood they dared not
Let out a trickle, lest the whole crack.

These two sat speechlessly;
Pale cool tea in tea-cups chaperoned
Stillness, silence,...

Okay, I'm thinking more back to Ferment that era and I think I see it more. Adam and Eve and Wishville though I'd have some questions about calling shoegazer.

no no--
a few days ago, you said that the people on that thread weren't talking. that's what i was talking about.

I've decided I like women who bitch. That is not to say that I like bitchy women, but I like a girl who isn't sugary sweetness all the time. I've hung out with those kinds of women before, and I find that I am just not compatible with them. I need a little anger from someone, a little raw emotion. It's a fine line, though,...

I saw stellastarr* in concert last night.

When I worked in Providence, my boss there knew a ton about underground 80's music. He played it all the time and became my sensei on the muscial culture of that time.
When I was watching stellastarr* last night, I couldn't help but feel like I was back in the 80's. And not in a bad way.
A...

It'a amazing how productivity can bring you peace of mind. Working here on this video using Photoshop, Aftereffects, and Final Cut Pro, I am more calm than I've been in awhile.
This whole project is making me feel a little philosophical. Right now, I am taking pieces of sketches by Leonardo Da Vinci and putting them into sketches made of concert footage I shot. For...

on vacation, yes, I hadn't really slept since the night before, so I don't think it really counts. Normally though, no I do not drink bourbon at 1:45, unless it's a.m.

I have a greater faith in mankind today.
Why?
Becuase I went to roller disco night at the Roxy.
Drunk as hell, gawky as all get out, and unexperienced on skates, I still never ran into anyone or fell down (until my friend made me at the ned of the night).
More later.

Good seeing you again last night. You left at just the right time - things went downhill fast once we left Ace.

The last couple of SGNY events I've been to have been like that - probably because I've been on a budget and haven't wanted to blow a huge amount of money on drinks. Maybe I'll let loose at the next one, though I should probably wait until I've got my new apartment and have paid all of the bullshit broker's fees and everything.

i went to birthday party at rollerskate night once. it was a lot of fun. it was the night an older black lady taught me that 'hook you up' meant a slap upside the head.
anyway, i was of sound mind and body whilst discussing tickets and such and sent some emails today. i should know by end of day tomorrow. unfortunately the best its gonna be, if at all, is one ticket. let me know right away if that doesnt work for you.
i have to be somewhere else (polyphonic spree) and cant make the show (bummer).

Two of my good friends got married (to each other) in a Jewish wedding.
I, the Gentile, learned that these people really know how to 1) party and 2) eat. Some great food, and some out-of-control traditional dancing. We did the thing where we all hold hands, form a circle and dance around the bride and groom. Then, we collapsed the circle and crushed/hugged the...

The wedding sounds like a lot of fun. I've never been to a Jewish wedding but I hear good things. As for the awkwardness... I know what mean. In most settings I would have teed off on someone for making a comment like that, but at least you had the good sense to realize that making a big commotion would have ruined the scene more than an off-color comment.

And damn all you tall people. tongue I guess I didn't work hard enough to make the varsity squad.
