Soo.. I worked the Cradle of Filth show last night. Now I understand why Hot Topic and Myspace are still in business. Do people really clump old-school metalheads like moi with this teenage rabble? I really hope not, but given the overall myopia of humanity, I come to the unfortunate conclusion that they do. I saw Dani walking around before the show. He is really,...

Fake it may be, but that song really does sound fantastic! I'm really jealous! Makes me want to work harder on putting something out.
Nice solo, you must have a freakishly deformed hand with a bazillion tiny little fingers... or somethin'.. wink biggrin

Post-BD love for the lil'un!

Why is it that when you try to do something nice for someone that they crumple it up and throw it in your face? That's a rhetorical question, I know why. It's because I waste my efforts on ingrates.

Anyhow, things at school are pretty good. I've settled into my room, it is more of an apartment than a dorm. I am grateful for this....

I miss the Winter. I am not entirely sure how to categorize the season we are currently having, but I certainly do not consider it Winter. I long for the cold, icy months in which having a warm drink and enaging good conversation are the paramount activities simply because one dares not venture outside (not that I ever squander the opportunity otherwise). Perhaps it's the...

I do not miss winter, in fact i loathe having to experience it. Meh- that's what i get for staying in Minnesota. 14 F bothers me. Also, a one man black metal project, eh? Sounds intriguing. And there's nothing wrong with being "girl crazy," or at least not usually. Enjoy being single while it lasts though! Also, I'm sorry you have/had to miss the Enslaved/Dark Funeral show as well! I'm still distraught over it!
fdgsfdjhlkbqdzzz:
Glad things are looking up for your project! Things are looking good for my own as well, so I understand how thrilling progress towards that goal can be. Best of luck t'ya!

And I only like the cold and the rain while indoors, but there's no heating in my new housing arangement, so I am longing for this winter-weather to leave! You can have it, comrade tongue

The most underrated thrash band ever... DEMOLITION HAMMER

If you don't own "Epidemic of Violence", I highly suggest that you seek a copy for yourself.

Last night, I went to see my friend's band, Zircon, and I was highly impressed. I know these guys have what it takes to make it, and I think that they are on the verge of really breaking out....

getting 1,500 people to get off their lazy arse and go and see a band in england is tricky!!! seriously though, i don't know much about venues of that capacity over here as the bands i'm into only play really small places, but this is largely due to lazy fans. people in london stay in london, people from birmingham seem to stay in birmingham etc, but i'm a gig whore and will travel anywhere within a 3 hour driving radius!!

i guess the last thing i went to which was in a fairly big venue was Dismember, Entombed, Grave and Unleashed, and the turn out was terrible! it was a sunday night, but i doubt that would've made much difference to be honest, i just think english metal fans are lazy. if the people i've been in bands with are anything to go by, that statement's definitely true!! (beer, smoking and playstation priority over riff writing!)

i'm very interested to see how Roadburn goes in Holland, see what fans are like over there.

Hello 2007! You could have done me a favor and remained hunkered under whatever filth-laden stone you emerged out from underneath! Seriously... go away already.

So my new relationship has careened to an unfortunate end. I will spare you the details, save to inform you that I'm glad that it didn't take 7 years this time. Oh well. It alluded me to the fact that...

Don't you hate those weekends that you spend 15 hours per day sitting in the same spot not because you want to, not because you have nothing better to do, but that's just simply how much time your current workload demands? I know I do. At least my back does. Maybe my elbows do as well.

Well, I've been working on this monster Java project...

Ha ha! Did you sing it straight or a la Chris Barnes? Glad to hear all went well!

'Saw III' was ok, but not nearly as good as the second one, which isn't nearly as good as the first!! they just whacked up the gore factor to make up for a pretty weak storyline in my opinion. entertaining enough though at 3 o'clock in the afternoon! biggrin

i'm guessing by the comments above you've done your speech now. fun or fear?!

Wow, long time since I made an update I think. I don't know, I've lost track. I'm mired in quandary, and have a hard time concentrating on anything.

I found a passage of the Bible that I think imparts great wisdom, especially pertaining to my situation.

It's from the Book of the Fresh Prince, Verse 15:

Listen homeboys don't mean to bust your bubble
But...

yeah, yeah, yeah, i know i CAN get to holland, just even leaving the house is a big deal for me, haha!!

fox's glacier mints eh, not seen them for a while, but then i don't go looking for 'em.

i've got a better deal. seeing as i've now got a supplier for chocolate bars, how about i trade you mints for breakfast cereal?! Reese's peanut butter cereal is amazing and can be obtained here, but at an incredibly inflated price. that'd be a killer deal as i've not had any in way too long!

Man, I love TNG (I don't care what rollerdisco says)!!! I might have trouble eating something that shares a name with excrement, though.

Damn, that's a lot of money in books to just leave sitting in a closet! Congrats on the find! Sucks about the class scheduling, though. Sounds about par for the course as far as "higher education" goes... Although, I watched "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" last night. Won't spoil it in case you haven't read/seen it, but there's a neat trick about taking more classes than you have time for. (Damn, those Dementors are fuckin' creepy, too!)

I'm definitely looking forward to those shows, as well. It's gonna' be a good month for metal! Hopefully, I'll get inspired; I just haven't been itching to play, lately. Wish I could crank it up in my apartment, but I'd just as soon not get us evicted. Could use some band members, as well.
12angrybadgers:
Well, it's not exactly current, but there's some classical guitar stuff here. Check out La Cancin del Emperador and the excerpt from Leere. The former is my transcription from the original vihuela tablature and the latter was a piece I premiered, written by a friend of mine.

No worries on the Trogdor vocals. Really, whenever you get the chance. It's supposed to be fun, not one more damn thing to worry about. biggrin (Hell, recording that was my procrastination!) Hope everything is alright with you, though.

Oh Troma, you never cease to entertain me. Just a word of warning - this song is ridiculously catchy.

So, my best friend is getting married this weekend, and I'm the best man. I started working on my speech, but I'm finding it to be a monumental pain in the ass. I could stand up there and rip this guy apart pretty easily, but given...

i asked what the tourist attractions in boston were and they told me about some fucking park where you can't touch the grass.

so what do people do in boston when their not drinking? cause that's really all we did.

Not a bad idea! shocked It might be even better to use particularly outdated adjectives like "awesome", "radical", "neat-o", "groovy", etc. I'll work on that….

I realized this morning that I had never seen my grandfather without his shirt on. I shared this revelation with a friend of mine, and he promptly questioned my sanity.

"The big rip," as I have dubbed it is finally complete. All of my CDs now exist on my RAID-arrayed drives as 128kb/sec MP3's, consuming a formidible 24gb of space. It took roughly nine months...

That's some impressive shit, right there. Um, not having never seen your grandfather w/o a shirt, but rather, "The Big Rip." That and 280k miles on your '87 Dodge. Mine is a '93 Corolla, hence the tape deck. However, I've still got all of my old cassette tapes from around that time and earlier and thus driving time was a good opportunity to listen to them. That car is going to have to give me a couple more years, I'm afraid. Especially if my kitty wants dental surgery (okay, I'm pretty sure she doesn't want dental surgery, but she does need one of her canines extracted). Do you write code professionally?
owenewowen:
Yeah, I heard about the Fung Wah Flip. Crazy shit. My friend that I went down there with said that last time she road it the bus evacuated and within minutes the whole thing was on fire. So yeah...no more for me!
