I'm planning a trip to Japan and I was a little worried about language and cultural barrier :O your post convinced me to take a japanese course before go there :O I had use to have troubles trying to explain to hairdressers what I want until I found someone who perfectly understand me (of course in the same language LOL) but I can't even imagine how difficult can be trying to explain something to a japanese hairdresser, just not x'D

Japan is a magnificent country! They don't make effort to speak English except the young people opened to the foreigners. One advice, always have some cash on you ! and doesn't go in hairdresser xD @skymond When you go to japan ?
