I'm building a house at the moment. Or, more accurately, having it built for me (at some expense I may add).
The floor has just been laid so I was able to sit on the edge and have lunch today:

I'm impressed already and it won't surprise me if it looks even better later on. I've heard from others that houses aren't cheap so your revelation is disappointing since I was secretly hoping it's just an unsubstantiated rumor. (You can see I don't keep up.) Anyway, vicarious ownership is nice too, so do keep us informed.
