We sail tonight for Singapore,
we're all as mad as hatters here
I've fallen for a tawny Moor,
took off to the land of Nod
Drank with all the Chinamen,
walked the sewers of Paris
I danced along a colored wind,
dangled from a rope of sand
You must say goodbye to me

We sail tonight for Singapore,
don't fall asleep while you're ashore
Cross...

it has come to my attention that a couple of well known sg's have been barred access to their own profiles and journals. i've heard of stuff like this happening before but i've put it in the back of my mind and forgotten it. this time however, i it's tough to just sit here and support this website that is exploiting people and then stealing...

last night was a milestone for me. two years ago jamie and i broke up and i hadn't seen her since. last night, her birthday, we finally saw eachother and it was good. i had no idea what to expect from her and she really floored me.
lupine:
well, mate, i'm glad that went well. wish me luck that seeing cate next month (one year after we've seen each other) goes as well. any tips?

how's cambridge?
zak:
i haven't seen or spoken with my ex since we broke up... i knew that he would disappear as soon as i made the descision.. thats what made it especially hard.
i think im afraid to seem him now.

only those old enough to remember icons of the 80's..
lupine:
staind....staind...why does that band ring a bell? did they have, like, one obnoixious hit a few years ago that was on the radio everywhere you went and had little to no chance of escaping? one of those bands that i would know that one song but not that they themselves made it?

oh, and i noticed you totally changed your line-up of favorite SGs. any reason?

cheers.

i just picked up the new stereolab box set "oscillons from the anti-sun.". three cds, 28 previously unreleased tracks and a dvd with videos and live performances. i'm in heaven. oh my god, the stickers. i almost forgot the original ep cover art stickers, 8 in all.

another band of which i will never see due to unfortunate circumstances. cybele's reverie is an all time...

Yeah the lyme is getting better, but it's just kind of dragging on, and I have to take lots of pills and I'm getting sick of it. Haha, no pun intended. But as far as I can tell I don't seem to be having any serious side eeffects and hopefully there won't be any long term ones either. smile

lupine:
its funny, justin, but i just stole one of the cds from that box set and randomly imported it to my ibook. and, yeah, it's damn cool. totally impressed.

i refuse to use a smily face for this post.

p.s. i already put the cd back.

i think i can finally say that i've worked up the courage to defend my promotion. at first, honestly, i was a bit skeptical. i didn't think that i could actually do it. working underneath roberto, for all his shortcomings, has been easy. i take my cues from him and i do the best i can. being asked to successfully run a kitchen is a...

i learned, much to my shock, that jolie rickman, one of my favorite singers, died in january from ovarian cancer. she was 35 years old.

i am very sad that i was never able to see her perform, let alone actually meet her and tell her how wonderful i thought she really was. i had chances and i blew it and now i will live...
