I just spent the evening with hemaniscool discussing how very often our blogs are written following a night out drinking. Coincidentally, tonight is no different, although to be honest, the drinking has been scaled back in comparison to our usual exploits.
I stand on the edge of a weekend fraught with dangerous potential...I'm off to London tomorrow for my cousin's 21st 'decadence and debauchery party',...

What a weekend...
The good:
Friday: An enjoyable night of drinks with my best friend, drinking partner and fellow SG stalwart, Hemaniscool and a bit of a chat to a nice young lady, always pleasant.
Saturday: Gym, trip to Illusions in Bristol to see our magic friend, Aidy, followed by a dirty burger.
Sunday: Vodka and Rock Band 2 with my main man, kick ass!...

A friend of mine lives on the London Road and we ended up going to a Cult TV themed party. She went as Old Gregg from the Mighty Boosh and I went as Dr Liz Asher from Garth Merenghi's Dark Place. Going into the grocery story at the end of her road was possibly the weirdest experience ever! Apparently stabby, fighty chavs don't quite know what to make of a lady in green face paint with a moustache and a mangina!

My buddy Alex is coming down from Wales Friday night so we're going for a drunken Ikea trip and Saturday night my friend Buff Matt is taking me to see Bronson at the cinema.

What are your weekend plans? Hanging at the lake? wink

Nah dude, I live in Guildford but I got my first in Brighton so I thought I'd check them again. I looked at a tat shop in Guildford but I didn't feel it all that much. I think it was the excessive testosterone in the air.
Hows things your end dude?

I live in Kingsway, just off Oldfield Park. What about you?

I think I prefer Bristol in the day time and Bath at night time, although saying that nearly all the good clubs in Bath have gone now! Boo!
stoopidsteve:
Yeah, I may keep my clothes on to do it though. If I'm going to go at my managers with a sword theres a high chance I may get the sack aftrwards (if I leave any alive of course) and if that happens I'd quite like to walk out with some dignity. Nice idea though

Rah...I've woken up late, which I love/hate...It's great to get an extra hour or so, but I actually really enjoy getting up early and managing to achieve things! Following another trip to the house of the Pelican avec Hemaniscool, and several whiskys, I reckon I'm gonna have a quiet week...I've spent the best part of 100, which I can't really justify.
I'm gonna have to...

Just in from work - we had the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset's Lunch today, which was highly entertaining if only for the titles some of these people had smile Here's a sprinkling of my favourites:
Air Vice Marshal so and so
Brigadier whatsit
Lady Matheson of Matheson (I kid you not)
The Right Honourable Canon face.
Lieutenant Colonel...
They were all 60+ and carried that air...

I just started listening to the records I bought yesterday...I'm a huge fan of rooting through boxes of vinyl in dusty/cluttered shops in the hope of finding something special. I also really appreciate the fact that this record I'm listening to (often older than me) has a sense of history to it; who has owned this before? What were they like? Did they rock out...

See you later alligator?

Charity shops and the like are excellent for old records, markets too. Even though most places wont have anything I'll like 80% of the time, the process of flicking through them all is quite fun!
missraaae:
Yeah, it's been awesome. First week of holiday for Easter and just spent it chilling with my dad and old friends. How about you?

Man, I hate to get my first blog rolling in such a bad mood, but I guess I've always found writing things down pretty therapeutic so where better?
2008 was a pretty shit year all round - one of those years where if something could have gone wrong, it did; big or small, and as the various things going wrong kept adding up I let...
