There are days I wonder about why I like this site so much.

Truth is, I doubt I fit in with a lot of people here -- I'm not Indie, or Emo, or Punk, or Goth in the slightest. I'm subtropical. I wear shorts, t-shirts and rubber zoris when I'm not at work. I listen to bands like Hapa, Ka'au Crater Boys, Robi Kahakalau, Makaha Sons, and so on.

Most work days start at 6ish and I walk down to the beach for a quick swim at dawn. Eat breakfast and go to the school I teach at early so I can hear the morning rain and listen to the birds before the kids come.

I teach all day. Stay until 4ish working with kids. Go home. Take a bike ride maybe -- go over to Diamond Head and climb 'em.

Eat dinner -- practice ukulele or get together with friends and garage jam. Two guitars, three ukes and someone dancing.

Weekends -- family, surfing and hiking.

I like my life, but it isn't at all typical around here, yah?

Then again, in just two days I've got two gorgeous, sexy and smart women on my friends list~ (EDIT: Make that FOUR!)

I wonder if anyone just stumbles across the page....say aloha if you do....
