Crazy amount of schoolwork to do. I've discovered that ignoring it doesn't make it go away.
A friend died of cancer last night. I'm numb. I really...it hasn't hit me yet. I'm sure it will when I least expect it, but...as terrible as this might sound, it's not a new thing anymore. This is the third friend (all under 25) of mine who has died in the past year.
I hope she rests in peace.

I know how you feel..In about the past year i have had two people die of it cloce to me and one more who just found out she had it...The first two where my friends moms..I concidered them both to be 2nd moms to me..And the one who just recently found out she had breast cancer is my "future ex wife?"'s mom. (ask me about the nickname i gave her later if your curious) She goes into surgery to have the lump removed on the 11th...I am very close to her..IF yah need to talk i'm here, doesnt matter to me that i dont know yah...Try not to let it get yah to down....

I *finally* got my hood pierced. It really didn't hurt--there was a lot of pressure when the piercer applied the clamp, and then a sharp pinch when she actually pushed the needle through, but it was soooo much easier than I expected it would be. I want to run around and tell everyone about it now. I should probably refrain from that.

Back at school. I'm glad...as nice as it was to be home, it's good to be in charge of my own life again. Although, it is a little quiet here. Three weeks until classes start again, so most of my friends aren't back yet.

forgot to answer your NOLA question. I was suppose to be going this month, if work would release me from their evil grip..
3 of my best friends moved there (from NJ). So now I have an excuse to visit and party.
