I just signed on to this site a week ago exactly. It's actually not my first time here. I used to have a profile on here a few years ago that I let expire. I was a much different person then, even if only 3 or 4 years ago. I decided to sign up again because I really like the people, the community that lives here. This site seems to attract to attract really intelligent and talented people, and it's the sort I've always invisioned having the most fun times with.

Also, I like to paint and sometimes I find myself running out of subject matter, it's weird, but I just need inspiration from time to time, and I think seeing the various photosets on this site might spark something inside of me, along with checking out the art offered by other members of this site. Im' also interested in hopefully making some artsy friends that would like to paint and get messy, have a meeting of the minds or some such, and maybe introduce me to art events or activities in and around the city.

I'm a very flimsy person when it comes to creation. I love to create, and I'd like to think of myself as someone who couldn't live without creation everyday. But unfortunately that's not true of me, as I've realized I fall into ruts of nothing, and inactivity. I can go for months without painting anything, and while it does cause symptoms of depression on me, it's more of a guilt that I'm not doing anything, rather than out of a need to do it, and maybe I'm just confused about how my brain and body works, but I really want to do art, it does fill some part of me up and it does make me happier in the process, even if just as a method of meditation.

I'm going to start painting now.
