Just back from the Whisky Cruise Boston - wow! So many good scotches (and Irish whiskies, and even some bourbons and others too). Thank goodness it was 4 hours, else I'd have been snookered. Or worse. smile

Happy hump day everyone!

By that I mean the middle of the week; you perverts, get over those thoughts(!). OK, don't; I'm fine with that too.

Ah, yes. My daughter turns one this weekend. I can't believe it at all; time sure has flown.

Wishing everyone well. Be yourself, be happy, and be well -

A-O

Yay for the daughter! Pictures!

I thank you all for playing, but unfortunately nobody got it. It is the brain of course! All other body parts are necessary and various ones can be enjoyed more than others, but the brain adds the aspects of anticipation, memory (an action triggers reminiscing of another time, place, person, etc.), and fantasy.

Beard stubble is a great measure of weekend success!

btw I would have got the right answer on your quiz if I had gotten over here sooner! Damn, I always miss out on the prizes!

I've been fucking glued to the news from Japan. Unbelievable stuff happening.

Fortunately I've put it on a feed from the BBC on my browser and not the tele, so I'm able to get some things done. If I think about it though, I do get rather sad about the whole thing. Just crazy shit out there.

Wishing you all well,
A-O

I agree with you; there are many great people here but still some departures make me sad. I wish you a fine weekend

OK, I've heard from a couple of people that I should go Nike and 'just do it' with the blog thing and not worry about being boring or uninteresting (or at least not as interesting as most people's blogs on here). So... here I go, back in the saddle.

Today was a sick day. Not for me, but for my 9 month old daughter. She...

Getting my geek on tonight - watching 'What the Ancients Knew'. I've always been interested in the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, and I happened upon the show lineup on Sc tonight that started with Greece, then did Egypt, and now is on Rome. We have achieved amazing things in our current world, but when you explore what the ancients knew it truly is amazing.

Rome is so facinating. I love anything about ancient civilizations. Did you see that HBO show Rome? it was pretty good....
