I am casually looking for a place in Baltimore to stay during the summer (like, June through mid-August, even July through mid-August). It MUST BE CHEAP, and please no psychotic roommates or strange creepy situations. I'm serious about this, but only if the right thing comes along.
I'm also looking for a well-paying job. It would be really cool if the job had cool people working there (thus I am advertising on this website, because there are only cool people on here, generally). Do you work at a weird eccentric place that's looking for young liberal arts kids?
If I can secure both of these, I would pray blessings on everyone's head and a merry Christmas. If you know anyone who can help, or if you can help, that would be prima-uber-amazing.
I'm from Amish Country, Pennsylvania. I visited home today and wanted to slit my wrists realizing that I'd be looking at BUSH/CHENEY 2004 stickers all summer, hearing about how Jesus helped people find the right shade of lipstick in Wal-Mart, and watching cows hump each other in the field.
Not to mention that I live with the two most fundamentalist evangelical capitalist Bush-Bible-bashing Christians in the entire country. I promise I'm not lying, you can test them, they happen to be MY parents. My mother quotes Scripture when folding laundry. She believes that God helps her find deals at the grocery store. My father believes that George Bush is a manly man, a son of God, chosen to battle Satan's powers of Islam.
This suffocating atmosphere is unacceptable to me, as it should be to any young liberal aspiring to greatness. I'd love to secure an interesting place in Baltimore for the summer. I hope it helps for me to have told my sob story. Anyone interested?
