Yay! It was my birthday yesterday. Since I'm broke, I did not really celebrate, but I had a very pleasant evening with a friend, a bottle of Rioja red wind and a very nice backrub. Can't complain. I don't really know if I should feel old. Most of my classmates are at least 5 years younger than me, but somehow that doesn't really make any...

I sould be doing something very different than writing this blog now.

I must return two watercolour paintings to my art teacher tomorrow morning, and I haven't even started yet. I just can't seem to bring myself round to it. In stead I'm doing anything else than what I'm supposed to do. I guess I have to start soon.

Anyway, I just uploaded a few...

Headache and nausea.

(quite fittingly, 'Rammstein - Bestrafe Mich' playing on the stereo)

I can't understand what's the matter with me. The schoolday went without any problem, but afterwards my shoulders begun to cramp and I got something of a migraine. I feel weak and shaky, almost like having a hangover. At the moment I'm trying to eat some very fatty and salty food, hoping...

We spent the day mostly shooting this Thursday. (Yes, I'm going to talk about guns, again.. all of you who don't like firearms, just skip the whole entry 'cause I don't have anything not gun-related to say at the moment.) To those of you who like things that go bang, I'm going to treat you to a few photos I shot today. Sadly, the pictures...

Right. The school's started and so far everything seems to go just fine. The people in our course group are really nice and the teachers are very cool and relaxed guys. We even have one girl in our group, the first ever to enter the gunsmithing school here. Oddly enough, she's just 19, blonde, cute as a button and has a wicked sense of humour....

Ikaalinen! Well, certainly thats far away from mostly anything. I hope youll get to meet your love at least more or less regularly? And Ill be oh-so-grateful to receive any nifty how-to-keep-a-long-distance-relationship-alive tips from you, in case you have any, because I seem to genuinely suck at it. biggrin Especially as The Girl will be taking a long LONG trip through Southern America this coming autumn/winter and I will most likely not hear much from her for months and months...euuugh. Survivors, arent we. wink

Ill be working in TRE all of this autumn though, one premier in November and one in January, so in case wed happen to be in town simultaenously, lets do that cup of good, tea, would be fun! I realized this summer that I dont have any friends to speak of in said city and occasionally it can get very boring and lonesome. Well, I reckon you know all about that at the moment, tho. Strength! smile

Forvige me, for I've been lazy. It's been over 6 months since my last posting.

Things have happened in a weird way since November.. Sort of in fast forward but still in slow motion. It's hard to explain, but life's been somewhat of a rollercoaster. First a steep climb uphill, then up and down but mostly down.

I was in high spirits after returning from...

Sunny San Diego, California

Well, not really. The sky is overcast, and there is a forecast of somekind of a tropical storm on its way here, but it's still nice enough. Even though it's bordering on winter, you still can survive outside in a T-shirt. In the evenings it's better to have a long-sleeved shirt, but it's not cold, unless it's really windy.

The trip...

Unfortunately I've been so extremely lazy, that I haven't bothered to update my journal. We were in San Diego only for two weeks, in November, so I'm back home in Finland again.

Last night it snowed. Now all of a sudden, it's winter.

Yesterday was my birthday. A big thank-you for everyone wishing me happy b-day.

Now I must get used to being 30. My friends joke about me being old enough to be in a museum, and many other comments like that. Others say, that I still look fifteen. (well, hardly, with a beard an mustaches..)...

War, what's it good for?

This is a rant.

The original version of the song mentioned in the title offers "absolutely nothing" as an answer for the question, but we all know that isn't true. A more accurate answer can be found in Laibach's version.. "GM, IBM, Newsweek, CNN..." War is good for publicity. War is good for international corporations. War is good for commerce....

More changes.

A lot has happened lately. I've been far too busy to do anything but work, and far too messed up to do even that properly. If my holidays hadn't begun when tey did, I'm not sure if if would have had to get some sickleave for being so stressed out.

We organized a trip to Visby, an old Hanseatic town on the island...
