Just a random design that I did while fiddling around with Sculptris. The ease of which a simple sphere can be molded into something recognizably organic is amazing!

Been experimenting with a new 3D modeling program called Sculptris; made by the same people who've done ZBrush, it is an incredibly intuitive system, almost perfectly emulates sculpting with clay! This was done with zero reference in about 2 hours... pretty rough around the edges, next time I plan to use reference, hope to get my models looking as beautiful as the lovely ladies around

This is a conceptual design for a little project I'm working on, called "30 Monsters" [placeholder name]. This monster is inspired by the film JAWS, with the actual design based off of a shark, orca whale, crocodile, and prehistoric fish. Think of it as the ultimate sea predator!

A little while ago, when watching Pacific Rim, I remembered how Gullermo Del Toro had suggested the possibility of a Kaiju-Jaeger hybrid in Pacific Rim 2, and this is what I came up with.

Practically, I imagined this Kaiju's physiology being modeled after Gipsy Danger, and wanted to create the antithesis of the pilots by combining attributes of Knifehead and Onibaba, the two Kaiju that

A couple conceptual designs for an original monster I made about a year ago. This is an apex, subterranean hunter, with enough armor to shrug off bullets like they were spitballs! I hope to try and post more of my artwork on a regular basis, I've got plenty of designs I've done over the years, which continues to grow every day.

A couple weeks ago, I downloaded Blender, the free 3D modeling and animation program. I'm still learning the basics of the interface, and this is what I managed to create without having a clue what I was doing! I've also downloaded Unity [a game engine software related to Blender] and DAZ Studio, and hope to greatly expand upon my traditional and digital 2D skills with

It's been a while since I've really posted anything here, made a New Years resolution to get more active, both in socializing and posting art! So here are some sketches I made, the first set being of some original characters known as the Archetypes, the designs of which are inspired by Japanese Tokusatsu heroes, such as Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and Garo.

The second set...

I'm kind of an aspiring artist [as anyone who's seen my previous blogs and profile pic know], and I was wondering what kind of policies there are in the regards of using Suicidegirls photosets for reference? What's the dos and don'ts, besides the obvious rule of asking for permission first?

tennielle:
thank youfor liking my first set xo

Just a thought, by why aren't there any groups specializing in Godzilla, or Kaiju [though I kind of understand why that wouldn't be mainstream enough] or monsters in general?
