I went to this place I had one of the best conversations I've had in the 4 years I've been in the area. A Comic Shop is the coolest place I've ever been to, and it's not because of the comics. The reason I went was to talk about the zombie events. I figured anyone who organizes stuff like that has to be one of the coolest people ever. SlackerInChief and I ended up staying in there for three and a half hours talking about everything. Never bored! It's rare that you meet people like that.
Of course we talked about comics, but there was never any pressure to buy. The people there are more into talking about the comics than they are about selling them. Anyway, I walked out with five and I feel like they wouldn't have given a fuck if I walked out with none. The only problem with the place is that you want to stay there all day and people just naturally get hungry. The Slacker and I were starving when we left. The only reason I only stayed for 3.5 hours was because I had an exam that night. Otherwise, I probably would have just chosen to starve.
