I love Sunday mornings. The week has started but you really don't have to do anything yet.

The weather outside is gorgeous. The sky is that amazing autumn-blue and it's good and windy. I think I'm going to go for a drive around Rice today. I can go look at 75% off books to see what I still can't afford. Sigh.

I'm so excited-I have a girl-date in Atlanta! I found myself an older woman (actually, she found me-even better) and we're going to go catch a movie at Tara and wander around some discount bookstore. My kind of date. She's a redhead, too!wink

Maybe my lack of a social life in Houston is God's way of telling me to study? I've never been a social butterfly anyway, but now I have to start dating. Ugh.

Well, I'm sorry you have to put up with my awful entries, so here is something good and appropriately dismal for you kids:

Sunday Morning

by Louis Macneice

Down the road someone is practising scales,
The notes like little fishes vanish with a wink of tails,
Man's heart expands to tinker with his car
For this is Sunday morning, Fate's great bazaar;
Regard these means as ends, concentrate on this Now,

And you may grow to music or drive beyond Hindhead anyhow,
Take corners on two wheels until you go so fast
That you can clutch a fringe or two of the windy past,
That you can abstract this day and make it to the week of time
A small eternity, a sonnet self-contained in rhyme.

But listen, up the road, something gulps, the church spire
Open its eight bells out, skulls' mouths which will not tire
To tell how there is no music or movement which secures
Escape from the weekday time. Which deadens and endures.

Happy Sunday, little peachessmile

addendum-I just read this:

Chloe Sevigny has become a fashion victim in the truest sense. The quirky actress knocked out her four front teeth after "she fell off her Balenciaga boots" while "play-fighting" with a pal, her rep tells the New York Daily News.

Should I laugh or feel sorry for her? Both?

Dating? Loathe it. I fucking hate feeling like I have to keep a witty conversation going... fill in all those pauses. What, on a date, is more frightening than silence? And what's more rare and wonderful in day to day life?

Ok, so I'm really psyched that at least one of us is getting some female action. But on the other hand, why aren't I your female date? I know I don't have red hair, but, but...
I'm kidding. (kinda) But who is this girl and where did you meet her? I need ideas of pick-up spots.
Glad you had a good Sunday, mine sucked.
