I've been without a computer at home for several months now. So, I haven't checked in here for a long time. I don't really have anything interesting to post up here. I just wanted to timestamp myself. 
Well,
I was without internet at home for a couple of weeks. Lamez. But I got things under control now, so I can check SG again. Turns out they don't look kindly on this website at my workplace. :-D
A few weeks back I got a call from my father in Costa Rica. He was in the Hospital because he had been having some serious health problems. For a couple of days there I thought he was a goner. I was about to drop everything and fly down there but he started to get better. He's back home now and he insists that he is doing ok, but I am likely to fly down there in March to pick him up. I really don't want to make this trip, but my dad is old and I worry about him a lot. I have two brothers and a sister and none of them seems to really concern themselves enough to try to help him out. I doubt my dad is going to be around for the next 5 or ten years, they are really going to regret ignoring him so much when he passes away.
I started painting miniatures again a few weeks back too. I saw some of Pacman's stuff and it inspired me to get back into the hobby. It's been keeping me out of trouble for the last few weekends.
I went and did a silly thing recently. I promised my Ex-Girlfirend that I would help her buy a car. It's stupid because I have so many other things that I should be spending this money on. But I can't help the fact that I worry about her having to take the bus to work all the time. I am not going to lie to myself. I know I still have feelings for her. But I'm not trying to do this to get into her good graces or anything. I really don't have any trouble with that. It's just that we split up at a time when she was really down and out, and I've always felt really bad about that. I think that if I can help her get her own car, then she'll have more freedom to take her life in the direction that she wants instead of always having to go along with the people who provide her transportation. I dunno.
Anyway, that's all that's going on right now. Later.

So I am back in Arizona. I don't think I'll be doing much more traveling for a while. I'll be going back to work in a couple of days, but I'm ok with that. I'm actually looking forward to getting back on a steady routine. I had way WAY too much fun over the last couple of months. So I'll be spending the next few months letting my bank account recuperate. Not to mention my liver. I hope everybody enjoyed their New Year's celebration. And I guess that is all I have to say for now.

I am tired of looking at my old blog but I am too lazy to write a new one. I've been having an amazing time over the last couple of months. I've traveled, re-connected with family, made a whole ton of new friends. For the first time in a long time I am feeling really enthusiastic. I hope this last for a while. I know life will always have its ups and downs but I would really like to take this momentum and keep it going as long as I can. I hope things are going well for every one of you too.

I missed Padre's party on Saturday. It's a bummer for me but I had to cater to my family's desires because I was hosting them here in Phoenix. Judging by the photos, the party got pretty wild and I don't think my brother and my sister would be able to handle all that awesomeness, anyway. So it was probably for the best.
We did go watch Jack Johnson at the Crikett Pavillion on Sunday. It wasn't bad. I hadn't really heard much of the guy before. He's got a couple of good songs but I don't see myself buying an album. There were a lot of girls there, but there were also a lot of 15 yr old girls there.
I think my ears are still buzzing from the shrieks.
I've got the next couple of days off. I am going to clean up around the house and continue to prepare for my Vacation. It's starting to come together pretty well. Flights and Rooms are booked and I've arranged to meet my cousins in New York City. I think this might turn out to be a really nice trip. There are a lot of chores and errands that I need to do while I am off. So more of this Vacation will be spent on responsibilities than on leisure. It seems like kind of a drag, but I guess that's just the way things are.

I used to be able to brag that no matter how drunk I had ever gotten, it had never been so bad that it made me throw up. Well, that changed as of last night. Early in the evening I began to feel depressed and disillusioned with the current state of my life. I wont go into the details surrounding that. Now, I've had good days and bad days but yesterday I felt worse than I have for a long time. I was certain that if I didn't do something to break out of that funk I'd end up hanging myself. So I emptied every bottle of liquor I could find in the house down my throat. Not long after, I was dancing around in my living room naked. Not as much fun as it sounds when no one's watching. And it wasn't long after that that I found myself paying homage to the porcelain god. I can still smell the vomit on my breath. Just keepin' it classy.
In other news: A few friends from work and I will be spending a weekend in Las Vegas on the 21st of this month. I used to live there and I still have family there, so I used to visit 4 or 5 times a year. But it was always a family trip. I never really did the "Vegas" thing when I was in Vegas. This time it's going to be different. I have a room reserved at the Luxor and my friends and I plan on fueling the local economy at the Black Jack tables at the Mandalay Bay. There's going to be a lot of crazy fun to be had. Hopefully I can hold on to my Lunch.
