Random update of things for the souls that may want to know.
Life is trucking along slow but sure. Not-so-much has happened from the whole blind date scenario as afore mentioned. She doesn't seem to be wanting to put out any effort in communications and whatnot, so I concede...
Last Friday was the Iron Maiden show and in 2 words: Fucking Awesome! It may have been one of the greatest shows I have ever seen, and that is a feat to achieve!
This Friday my buddy Dave is gonna hook me up with some upgraded car audio which should be super sweet, and I'm looking forward to getting a-drunk this weekend in general celebration.
This was the last week of class for the current class, no rest for the weary though as next term starts July 7th XD

So I was set up with a faux blind date scenario last night...
I was told by my friend Kate that she had a friend that wanted to meet me. She was having some people over her (kate) house for a backyard fire and some drinking and that I should come. So I did.
I was introduced to Nelly, a nurse that works at RIH. She was very cute, (blonde hair, green eyes) and first impression was that I liked what I saw. Then out of no where something happened that doesn't usually happen to me.... I STARTED TALKING TO HER!!! OMFG! I grew a set of balls!
As the night went on I found myself talking more, and more, and more... it was great! I felt totally comfortable around her and she was the first really attractive girl that hasn't intimidated me in a long time.
So as the hours ticked away and the conversation kept flowing, around 2 AM ish when the party was dieing down, I popped the question...
Doc: "So, you think you might be interested in hanging out again sometime?"
Nelly: "Yeah definitely"
Doc: "cool, maybe I can grab your number and I'll give you a call?"
Nelly: "Sure"
holy fucking shit.
Now I just have to play it cool, take it slow, be myself, have confidence, AND don't fuck it up! XD

I'm Cute!!!!
This was a fucking awesome day for the old ego! I was told by 2 women that they thought I was cute!
... of course one of them has a boyfriend, and the other one has a husband... -.-
But hey, I'll take it wherever I can get it! One was the girl from my friend Flaps work that we went out with to Mohegan Sun about a month ago, and the other...
The other was Alison. See previous blogs for info about Ali but to sum it up she is like my dream woman. She's gorgeous, and we have the same sense of humor and similar personalities. She's wonderful, and she totally knows I like her. She told me she was drinking with a friend of hers and her friend was talking about a dude at work that she liked and wanted to date and whatnot, and apparently the old truth serum brought up my name in Ali's mind.
Am I holding out hope... no
do I WANT her and her boyfriend to break up... 5th Amendment
Am I a home wrecker, and am going to peruse her... no
Will I be a friend, however remaining on her radar... you bet your ass!

Well, t minus 4 days and counting before I depart on vacation. Really excited and looking forward to getting away and relaxing!! I'm headed to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. This is my first adventure "out of the country" and it should be fun. If anyone has any suggestions of special things to see / do / go to in the area please feel free to let me know!!
In work news, this is my holiday on so I gotta work tonight. Eric is back from honeymoons and vacation stuffs so it's great to have things back to normal.
Gotta do 2 weeks worth of school work this week so I don't have to do anything on my vacation, I already have about 1/3 of the work done today so I guess I'm a bit ahead, he he he.

Worst Week Ever..
This had to have been the worst week ever at work. Due to the system fucking up, which is par for the course, The amount of work we had to do on my shift tripled.
In case people didn't know I work at RI Hospital on the graveyard shift in the pharmacy. We bring the nice drugs you eat while your in the hospital. Well the computer system that tells us what drugs to load in what machines in the hospital was holding back information... until it erupted one night this week. It put us hours behind and we never really caught up.
Eric, my normal co-worker (which I have to call him because when I refer to him as my partner at work he gets all bent out of shape) has been on vacation for 2 weeks cause he got himself married (see photo albums) so I have been dealing with fill in people on top of all this shit as well.
But it is officially the weekend (for me anyways) so it is cause for celebration!! Some good drinking planned for later today/tonight.
Might be going up to Pete's house to hang out tonight or tomorrow night that will be cool.
More as it develops.

My birthday... in retrospect
So, out of all of my friends that I called and invited out for my birthday... 1, count him, 1 actually showed up.

But I had a great time with Tim, seeing CJ's band Backlash play, www.backlashri.com.
Once again, I did not get laid on my birthday, which just about brings my dry spell to 3 years.
I have not had sex in 3 years...
But at least i'm drunk, and had a good time at the bar. Also, special thanks to Merlowe who was likewise the only one to wish me happy birthday. /bow
Well, I guess it's time to rub one out and go to bed in final celebration. Happy fuckin birthday to me.

Cadillac Lounge
So, my buddy Eric's bachelor party was last night and I had a blast. We ended up getting pretty fucked up even before we went to the strip club which was really early in the night. I felt kinda bad because I don't even know if he could enjoy / remember anything at the club.
We had a Portuguese buffet style dinner at the Estrela do Mar in East Providence, RI. The food was great, private downstairs room; salad, beef, chicken, pork, pasta, and roast potatoes. A glass of Porto or anything you like to wash it down. Highly recommended to anyone in the Mass / RI area that has a pension for Portuguese food.
Then we retreated back to Eric's brother-in-law's house to let Eric recover a bit from the drinking at the restaurant before we headed to the strip club.
For the live entertainment, we headed to the Cadillac Lounge, also in Providence RI. Now believe it or not, this was my very first time in a strip club. I felt a little uneasy being in there for the first time, but it kinda leveled out after a bit. I've always tried so hard NOT to stare at chicks, and blatantly check them out as they walk by that I had to get used to the fact that it was ok within the bounds of a strip club. Bouncing back and forth from the center stage area, and the all nude room, I just kinda stayed close to someone at all times because I didn't really know what to do. Finally my boy Brendan hits me on my cell because we had gotten separated and says "Come meet me over here, I have something for you".
My cousin brings me over the lovely Ms. Bambi. and says me and her are going to have some fun. She leads me by the hand upstairs into the booths for a private all nude lap dance. I have to say, it was wonderful.
I got something unexpected out of the lap dance though, the raging boner was expected, ...a feeling of depression. This girl, to her, is something she does every night, something she gets paid to do and that was it. But unbeknownst to her, she was giving me something very special, something I consider almost (I'm lost for the right word) That is, being able to touch a woman.
Depressingly enough to admit, Ms. Bambi was the first woman I have laid my hands on in almost 3 years. To feel her, caress her legs and thighs, feel her ass while she was on top of me, slide my hands around her waist, up her stomach and up to her wonderful breasts, the smell of her skin, the feel of her hair... I got a lot more than just a lap dance and a bone in those short few minutes
With no pun intended, its a steep price to pay for experiencing something that so many other guys may just think are pieces of meat. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those guys that "is just falling in love with a striper", no. But to have someone offer you something that they don't even think twice about as being special at all is a great thing. and yet I still come home empty, happy for what I received yet sad for what I still do not have.

Apparently there is a shortage of chocolate chip muffins in southeastern Massachusetts this morning...
I went to 4 places (3 dunkin donuts and a god damn Stop & Shop) on my way home from work and there are none to be had.
This makes me very upset, more as it develops.
